Just wanted to pass along my experience with removing a T4030 steering wheel. First, it was the most difficult steering wheel to remove I have encountered. The telescoping feature makes it difficult to get the proper pull on it to begin with. And the wimpy 6mm bolt holes that it is tapped with are not sufficient. I broke several trying to use them to pull from. After the majority of the first day and part of the second I finally got it to break loose. The first thing I had to do was get the proper spacer to clear the telescoping adjusting bolt. I first tried various sizes of sockets and a Harbor Freight steering wheel puller to no avail. I finally made a spacer out of 1/2" washers and a piece of 1/4" plate metal, please excuse the ugliness. I found some 8.8 (grade 5 in standard measurements) bolts at the hardware store and with my new fabricated spacer I thought I was finally going to get it off. After breaking 4 of those I finally gave in to using a bearing splitter below the steering wheel. I didn't want to use it because I figured it would damage the plastic covering, which it did but not nothing I can't live with. Once I used it and put a considerable amount of force on a 1/2" breaker bar it finally popped loose. Make sure you make or buy a spacer to clear the telescoping adjustment, or you'll be straitening the threads like I am now. The first 3 pictures are the spacer. I took a grinder and ground one side flat to clear the bolt holes used to pull from. I got lazy on the second side and just ground a notch. I'm putting pictures below of reference. The last picture is the bearing splitter with a two-jaw puller.
