Went out today again but this time I managed to get some stuff done. It went from coat weather to short weather (+20 degrees) in 24 hours.
Took the tire chains off and put them away.
Took of the blower and parked in the the back yard so I don't forget to grease and paint it before I put out back.
Parked the FEL in my storage area.
Brought the Tiller up to the house and started working on it. Changed the oil in the gear box, there was some water, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Did the work to pull off the side drive cover, lots of water poured out of it. I'm now waiting for as much oil to drip off of the side drive and covers as possible before I put the cover back on and fill it up.
I am going to put silicone on the breather for the gear box before I store it, and I will try wrapping the side drive breather in teflon tape, thanks for suggestion Dave, I was looking at it and trying to figure out what to do with that. I was thinking of trying to find a bolt with the same threads to use for storage, but if teflon tape will work that will be a lot easier to find and deal with.
Tomorrow if all goes well I'll finish up the tiller, after I get the oil back in I need to tighten up the tine bolts and check the slip clutch. Not in a hurry to start tilling, I can't plant here until the first weekend in June, so not in a great hurry.
If the weather holds I still need to change the engine and hydro oil and get the mower deck ready.
