Walked past it, said hello Elly.
Worthy tip. Man, I'm hurting today because of those FEL connects (and I gotta go mow today, fargg)! I hurt my back a few days back, but was finally doing ok yesterday, so decided to clean up/dethatch my lawn. I took the loader off, hooked up the dethatcher, everything was going great. All done, so I was hooking the loader back on, struggling with those quick connects while bending over and all contorted...bam, re-injured my back.A heads up for everyone:
Today, I realized that my hydraulic quick connects on my GC, FEL had completely seized up. The rings you pull to release them, would not move.
After repeated lubrication, and some persuasion with channel locks, I was able to free them up.
This was an extreme case, since I had not removed them since new. But, this tractor has also been inside, so that was unexpected.
If you don't occasionally remove them, I suggest giving those rings are few turns to make sure they are staying free, be added to your maintenance check list.
We get that.PS: note the two rounds in the FEL.... found I needed that to keep the front wheels on the ground when lifting those cut-offs!
They haven't been used in a long time.We get that.
The burning question we are all wondering is, why are those chain hooks blue?
He'll I like it. Easy to find the hook. I paint stuff safety yellow all the time for this reason. They haven't been used in a long time.![]()
