Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...outside puttering cancel might give basement shop another good sweeping,Mrs. needs couple things from supermarket good chance I'll get pick for that,watch some NASCAR car...plans subject to change with out notice.

Good Morning
64° and grey outside. Might go up 5° with showers likely this afternoon.
We were under a threat of rain all day yesterday, I finally watered the arborvitae and sod around dinner time. So of course we got an inch of rain overnight.

Wife made a project framing a batch of pictures, and then cut out pieces of kraft paper the sizes of the pictures and laid them out on a wall, taping them in position. We had the wall decorated with the Kraft paper for a coup of weeks, so while she was at the farmers market yesterday, I hung them all up.

That was the major project for the day, I debated hooking up the Progressive mower and cutting the open area, but ultimately figured I’d wait for the rain and associated growth spurt.
Son, DIL & GS came up and flew models, Zoe and I went out to watch, she got a good run in chasing the plane every time it took off.
Not much planned for today, might mow, likely pick up a friend from the repair shop when he drops his truck off for inspection.
And then there is the inevitable wild card activity……

Morning all, heavy quick rain last night on the way home was pretty bad. But not enough rain so far.
Went to brewfest, did the chauffeuring thing. Sold out crowd. Dry and dusty.

First time hearing BOC and AC/DC played on bagpipes. Band was pretty good.
Our crowd was smaller this year, one death and one in hospital recovering. Seems less around each year. but the "kids" bring their friends now.

Kentucky Derby party was fun. The hosts wife had lived in Kentucky for a spell and one of the horses owners is a relative of a friend.

Off to Long Island today.

Good morning TBN!!
Cooler today. 54 going to the low 70s. and the rain has moved along. Not as much as I hoped.

Not too much yesterday. I hauled a few more loads of rubble to the tank. My back wheels have been in the air as much as not lately. All level so not a problem. If I can lift it I will move it.
Rain came at around 2 or so and didn't do anything except get every thing wet. I think I will take the water pump and maybe the pressure washer down and get rid of all the mud and sand that I can to expose cleaner rock and add a few bags of Sakrete to tie the rocks together to make much bigger rocks to hold it all in place. We did get heavier rain over night so I'll have to go look at how it did. Would have like plenty more rain but probably none now till late in the week. Oh well. Work with what you got!
Wife went to Asheville to attend a class all day so it was just me and the cat and dog!

Time for a second cup.

Frits nice work on leveling up those old barn beams. How big is that barn ? I may have asked that question before but of course I forget easily.

It is 40 ft by 80 ft on 3 levels and 50 ft to top of ridge beam

good morning, 63 going to 70 with more rain today. Got about 5 inches yesterday and overnight

Wife enjoyed the trip to WV yesterday and ended up at Harpers Ferry.
Weather during the trip was sunny and nice. Saw a lot of high school graduates all dressed up for celebrations

Good morning. Weather has been nice, cool in the low 40's, highs mid 60's. Finally a chance for rain today. Haven't had any precip in over a month!

Some good news and some bad news.....
Dona's PET scan showed that the lymph nodes/cancer has been obliterated in the lymph system. The bone marrow areas show that it is almost gone.
The bad news is it has now spread into the actual bone. Blood work is stable, but the important parts are still showing low. The oncology "team" (6 Drs) meet with a consortium of Drs from the Mayo on Wednesday. They will present Dona's case to them. They will formulate a new treatment strategy.

This hit me much harder than it did Dona. She has always been strong.... I'm counting on that.....

She goes for another thoracentesis on Thursday. We are hoping the fluid buildup is continuing to be on the decrease.

She did come outside with me yesterday and we transplanted about 30 new tree seedlings. We may do another 15 or so today. This week we will probably be able to do a few plantings. Good that she gets some sun and fresh air.

47°F and cloudy this morning, only going up to 58° today. Looks like we're finally done with the rain for awhile. Been a wet spring here.

I've spent the last two weeks dealing with a large (1cm) kidney stone. If you've never had one, I do not recommend it. Fortunately, because it was so large, it stayed close to the kidney and presented itself well for "extracorporeal sonic wave lithotripsy" (say that five times fast!) where they blasted it into smaller pieces with sound waves. It's been quite the journey.
