LS, thanks for update. Prayers for Dona. My oldest brother been fighting the cancer in lymph nodes, right now his bones are OK, I think. He doesn't say much.

M7040 Harpers Ferry a nice town to visit, I don't get there too often. Glad barn beam straightening is going well.

I noticed at dads, the barn seems to be leaning more. With no one there using it and maintaining it, it will eventually fall.
Even the house is getting in rough shape, it needs painting and a new roof. We last did the roof around 2000.

Need to get ready for tonights class.

A little more work today at the barn. Removed the chain fall and screw jacks. The jacks are rated at 15 ton and using both with a 36 inch rod for turning the screw they must have been at full capacity of 30 ton at least to move that massive beam. Checked that it stayed level and vertical. Started to clad the lower wall with 2x6 PT boards thinking that will be good for the lower wall that will get more abuse.

Made a jar of onions pickled in Balsamic Vinegar. More rain this morning maybe another inch.

The Siberian Iris's are late this year. We have seen them flower in the snow in years past but not this year.
Wife wants to go down to the old ice cream store and get her a cup of Mint Chip that she likes
