Yes that's my plan , this is my initial stage of the issue , hence the picking of the "Brains/more experienced " Tractor guys, Which I am not, Have done over 50 years of mechanical stuff on many different machines , just haven't done any tractor work aside from maintenance , thanks
This is another project that is on my list, so its not an emergency fix, but would like to get it started, thanks

Yes, It did work properly when last used,I do not Ride the Clutch,Due to the fact I would be the one that would be fixing it, it is not possible to to put in gear while running (due to gear grinding ) clutch is fully engaged ,at this point, there is No free play in the clutch pedal ,(actuating rod that enters the case, does not turn when pedal is pressed, and the rod does Not appear to be frozen, its seems to be internal to me) it has an aftermarket Front end loader on it, Which is attached to the tranny/bellhousing case , machine is located at another property we have ,I will try to get over there and get some pictures of the area in question ,
appreciate the comments and the willingness to try to help
Thanks
Hurry. A stuck clutch can be fixed from outside usually. But the longer it sits the more tenacious it sticks. --- Im doing hay right now but Ill take a hard look at the suspected area on my L2550 tonite.

these are a few pictures from today, I did not see a grease fitting so I don't think that is happening, I did remove the breather tube on the right side of the ,what I think can be call the bell housing, looks pretty rusty inside as far as I can see, not much clearance ,stuck a pry bar inside to try to lightly poke around , was not able to make anything happen, Plus I don't want to make things worse, I am still in the investigation stage, But so far I'm thinking I will have to bite the bullet and split it, thanks

Have you sprayed all of the joints with penetrating oil and GENTLY tapped the linkage back and forth to see if you can get any movement.
Being careful not to burn up your tractor, you might also try some heat where the linkage goes through any metal.

In image 6560 the lever shown to the left of the clutch pedal should be moved forward by the linkage element when you press the pedal.-- Does that happen?-- That levers motion rotates the shaft it is welded to, entering the case behind the lever, and operates the the throwout.

Can you depress the clutch pedal fully, or at all? Where is the shaft that is not turning?

Yes ,I have tried all the obvious methods , to no avail, I just ordered a boroscope to see if I can see anything thru the only place I can get into the bell housing, (buy removing the breathing tube on the right side of the tranny/bell housing, according to the parts book ,it looks to me like it has the Double Clutch, if that's the case, it also would have a grease fitting on the release fork that disengages the clutch plates, (AS CALFAL has mentioned) if I'm able to see and access the fitting after I get the scope in a few days,(in my opinion the release bearing is frozen from moisture) I'll see if that works, if I can't get to it or if it doesn't work, then Splitting it is the next step, if that's the case , will be after the summer,
If anyone has any other suggestions ,I'm All Ears,
Thanks for the input, I will continue work on it when I can,
The forum is GREAT
Thanks,
Mike M.
