SPK ,
The clutch pedal does not depress, and the shaft that the pedal connects too, does not turn, that is the shaft that you refer to in the 6560 image, the shaft is connected to the lever in the image, that shaft has the fork attached to it internally , that it turn moves the throughout bearing,
I think the release bearing is frozen,
I will have more to say after hopefully get a look inside,
thanks

Yes, Thanks for the follow through. I think youre right. The t/o bearing will not slide on its pilot stub. I wonder how hard it is stuck. Do you have a PTO generator or something you could run to make the tractor warm up? Sometimes a thermal cycle can do wonders, especially when something isnt as stuck as it seems.

Hey
it must be frozen really bad, I put a very heavy amount (excessive)of pressure on the pedal, so much that I was fearful that the shaft or weld on the lever/shaft would break, So in my opinion, if I cannot get a pry bar on the release bearing ,I don't think it will break free,
I'm trying to not do more damage then I already have, I will see if I'm able to see something with the scope, if not ,I am coming to terms with having to split it, The tractor needs to be gone thru anyway, It would make things easier if it would move under its own power, It is always depressing when the Fix is much more involved (larger) than the issue😭, (a small amount of white grease in the right spot.:ROFLMAO:
I will keep an eye on the forum, and will report back hopefully when I get a look inside (with the scope)
Thanks

Your pushing on the pedal would have been good to know upfront, and that it wouldnt move. You mentioned back a ways that it grinds when you try to put in gear, so you have been able to start it. My 2550 requires the clutch pushed all the way in to be able to crank it. -- Good that you can crank yours w/o that restriction. -- Assuming yours is pretty much like mine, with 2 range shuttle shift, you can move the tractor at will. : Put it in lo range 1st gear, shuttle neutral, start up, slow to idle, flip the shuttle whichever way. Usually you will get no grind at all because the gear is so low. When you get where you want flip back to neutral.

Yes , I have gone around the safeties on the starter,😁
I haven't try starting it in gear (low,Low) but I will give that a try, that way I can move it under its own power, I'd rather be able to reposition it easily if I am going to have to split it, So that suggestion is great, like I said earlier ,sometimes you can't see the forest thru the trees, And Yes I do have shuttle shift + a split 4speed High and Low Tranny,
In the mid 70's while driving an oil truck (Mack R model with a trailer), the clutch pedal rod broke, The mechanic had me drive it from the upper west side of Manhatten (in the 160's st.) area back to the terminal in Astoria Queens, No Clutch pedal the whole way, I was on the top of my game in those days, 18ys old.
Sorry for the Rant,
I will try your suggestion out , heading over there tomorrow,
Thanks,(y)🇺🇲

Hey All,
New to the site, Just wondering if anyone has some insight or strategies on accessing the frozen throughtbearing on my l2250dt, its been sitting for a few months(probably from a lot of moisture here in Ct.) and when I step on the clutch I get no movement on the shaft connected to the pedal,
Just figure I'd see if anyone has an idea on how to get it moving without splitting the tractor ,
Any thoughts would be appreciated ,
Thanks,
Mike M.
On some older models there was an access plate on the bottom and the bearing actually had a grease fitting on it. You probably aren't that lucky. Anything that was good and increased the life of the tractor they will do or have done away with. Could also be an access panel on the side or on the top. Give it a good check.

Save as buck making it. Get a million$ selling parts and working on it.

I'm betting it's NOT the bearing, but the clutch plate rusted to the flywheel.

That's why they give you a little piece of wood to block the clutch pedal down when you let your tractor sit for long periods, in fact my new Kubota has a clip on the pedal, that you can move into place to hold the pedal down.

All good, but full descriptive info, several posts back, indicates that the bearing wont slide as needed to operate the pressure plate. The clutch pedal cannot be depressed. The lever in pic 6560 will not move.

The clutch plate may be stuck to the flywheel some too, but our actuation inputs are blocked prior to the point we could determine that.

Hey All,
Well I did get a look inside, It doesn't look good:eek:, Apparently last summer when we had a big rain in Aug at that property, it must have gotten water into the clutch housing , because it is just rusted terribly,So I guess it needs to be split,I'll put a few pictures up,
I'm Sorry to have wasted y'all's time, with this issue, I might need some insight into the splitting job, but it seems straight forward, That is not happening till after the summer ,All the suggestions were Great, Thanks,
On a Good Note,
SPL your suggestion about be able to move it it L/L worked out Great ,I am able to move it at low idle without Grinding gears, Fantastic . will make it easier to move onto a trailer so I can get it to where I will do the work in a couple of months, Hopefully I will be able to clean it up when I split it,
If anyone that has done the "split" has any thoughts on avoiding any Pittfalls that I may encounter, that would be Great,
Thanks,
Mike M.
