Good evening all. 77ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, some afternoon buildups, and high temp was 97ºF, HI 104ºF. Made coffee to start day, help setup, attend, help tear down Chapel, breakfast with group, then was in either low gear or napping most of rest of day. Did manage to grill some chicken thighs and brats.
Buppies glad grass mowed. Hope Holly doing well prayers sent.
Ted great to hear from you and with mostly good news. Prayers that Dona's back pain gets resolved.
Paul hope day went well, Happy Anniversary to you and the Mrs.
Thomas hope new job pans out.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 67° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 89° with chance of thunderstorms. Did some pond maintainace and bird feeder filling early yesterday. Before it got to warm outside. Made a shield for one of my grass trimmers. It was always getting grass loaded up between spinning part and drive shaft housing. Tested and it works good now. Even in wet grass. Have a Dr. appointment in the morning. Then hope I feel good enough to get front grass cut before it is too warm out. Been putting it off for 3 days.
Fledgling stopped to checkout my feeders.

LS, good to hear Dona is getting better.

good morning, 62 going to 86 warmer today and sunny

Woke up earlier than normal and walked Cody with the headlamp. The adjustable intensity does not work any more so very bright

Worked on another window to seal it up splicing in wood and caulking

Also worked on chain sawing logs that had accumulated. The old Stihl 261C worked great and made short work out of it. Ran 3 tank full of gas through it. A large Cherry Tre that was split by lightning and Black Locust.

Chimney sweeping is on the agenda today. Need to also wash dishes and clean up the kitchen.

Also will push the tree rounds into the pile of rounds waiting to be split. The excavator as usual was the tool that was very helpful holding up the logs in just the right height for chain sawing and the risk of hitting dirt and dulling the chain is no more

Good morning, the low is 69 and going up to 88°F again today. Wind S 5 mph. Mix of sun and cloud.

The power washer I bought 5 years ago and never worked for me is gone to one of the people I plow snow for. He works for the township I live in, so has more resources to get it running or sell it, which ever he wants to do with it.
IF I get another one it will be electric.

I gotta call the bank today and get my password reset.

That is about all I am doing today.

Sound Beach LI, 69 to start going to 84 or so.

Headed home later this morning.
Had a great day at Jones Beach yesterday, the concert was great although I really didn’t care for the new stuff that the Doobie Brothers sang. I enjoyed all the older ballads. The Choral Reefers were not the same without Jimmy Buffet but still enjoyed the hour or so they were on stage.

I think our friends are planning to drive back to Ct later so hopefully the traffic won’t be too bad.

Out the door before daybreak give gardens good watering.
Plans for today...2 stops for critter food late morning meet with CEO where Mrs. works about parttime quality control job...strange way looking forward to it.

Looks like just one day of sun was it for August. Raining and 69 this morning. High in the low 80s with more rain on and off. Got over a 1/2" overnight.
Yesterday turned out to be a big rabbit hole. Wanted to do maintenance of the instant hot water that I didn't know needed done. Watched a bunch of YouTube to see what it consisted of. Easy enough, just need the small pump. HF had one at the Hickory store that would fit the bill so off I went because it showed in stock. Turns out the only one they had was on display and they can't sell those. Looked around and found a small transfer pump that would do the job and had IT sale so I got away a little cheaper. Got what I needed and crawled under the house. Low and behold my instant didn't have any of the flush setup. About two hours of surfing and ordering and another $200 dollars put the kit I needed together and ordered. Should be here tomorrow. Never worked with Pex before so had to sort all that out too. New tool .
Pretty much the whole day on that and suspect it maybe another full day in the crawl space.
I adjusted the deck on the mower to sit higher at the low setting. On the high setting it was too low. And no more up with out adjusting. Gotta wait for sun again to test.
