Does anyone have any experience with the Mahindra 1100 series? I'm seeing what I think are a few descent prices on left over 2024 models around $19k without the snow blower.

BUT.... I'm starting to see some people having belly mower issues on other forums.

Unless you’re keeping a belly mower on, best just to get a dedicated cutter.
A 60” belly mower from Mahindra is around 3k.
For $1500 more, you get a nice zero turn with 60” cut.
Even a 42” zero turn will cut faster than the tractor with the 60” and then you’re only $500 more.

I sell these.
What I’m seeing is that we’re getting tlb’s back with hydraulic fitting issues at the rear.
Granted it’s under warrantee but still a pain in the butt for the owner.
We even called Mahindra Corporate to inform.
The fix is so simple we tell owners how to do it over the phone if they’re so inclined.
Otherwise pick up and delivery is free as well as labor but the owner is still w/o their tractor.
We also provide substitute tractor if customer is in a fix.
Basically we yelled at the factory rep that if the fix is so simple, then the causation can be remedied at the point of assembly.
Since our complaint, the new deliveries seem to be remedied as Im sure other dealers must have also complained.

Sounds like a decent deal for an 1126. Best price I got from my local Mahindra dealer about a month ago for an 1120 with 54" mower was about $18k. $20k+ if you wanted the financing

I may just take a chance for $19k and buy the snow blower after the fact.

I understand the multiple pieces of equipment solution with a zero turn etc. But that negates the whole idea of a SCUT for me.

It's the exact opposite direction I've been trying to move. Eliminating pieces of motorized equipment to maintain and store.

I've been using an emax 20s for most everything for the last few years. No, it doesn't cut as nice as a zero turn, but the emax leaves a nice even cut nonetheless. I can't put a 48" snow blower on my old scag. The scag wont run a generator, tiller, lift small logs, dump load wood cribs etc.

Reasoning an 1126 is a self capturing mower deck, solves an issue and creates other issue if it doesnt work as advertised. Getting older and having shoulder issues after doing mid PTO shaft gymnastics isn't fun anymore. My shoulder sounds like a shuffled deck of cards for a day or two after contorting to the mid PTO shaft coupler. The snow blower isn't an issue with deck off, there's tons of room to get two hands on it.

A rear finish mower isn't the answer for me. It will leave me needing a scag for close in cutting.

I was hoping the mahindra would function better than the JD deck, but it appears that it may not.

It may even be worse.

You own a Mahindra Emax as well? I assume you're contemplating upgrading to the newer 1100 series machine?

I appreciate what you're telling me, but it's not reassuring from a Mahindra reseller.

Leaving the deck on negates the reasoning for Mahindra to even market a self capturing/connecting mower deck.

If you have to leave the deck attached. The decades old method of attaching a belly mower to a mule or sub frame does the same thing without the expense or complexity of a self capturing/connecting belly mower.

I really don't want a dedicated mower, a dedicated FEL, and a dedicated snow blower.

I guess I bought into the advertising. Shame on me.

I am.

Specifically for the quick attach belly mower. After some reading today, I think that may be misguided.

The emax is kind of like a leatherman. Probably doesnt do any one thing as well as a dedicated machine, except maybe the snow blower.

It has worked well for my purposes.

I believe this is a wise description of any SCUT. No one unit does it all for everyone.

The concept of a tractor doing grass mowing, snow blowing and fel work has always been a misguided one imo.
One has not only be wired for patience of exchanging these implements but also have the physical prowess to be able to do so.

Sales hype is one thing, practicality is still another but the mental and physical part numbers have to match the practicality number
