    Generators - Backfeeding - 120V

I only see one picture, what amperage is that main breaker? at the top? what is the amperage on the panel inside. I would need to see the inside wiring of this, but yes, this is primarily the main breaker panel in this setup, what is odd though is you don't have a large breaker for the inside...

    Kioti Broken in Half

    Generators - Backfeeding - 120V

then you have a wiring problem, or you don't understand how the panels work. based on this comment someone will need to see it, and provide direction before you tie in a interlock. Are you sure you didn't turn off the main panel instead?
  5. LittleBill21

    Generators - Backfeeding - 120V

if the the subpanel is fed off the main panel, you only need one interlock. you only need to shutoff the main breaker, at the panel, that is wired to the pole. this is to stop electricity from flowing out onto the powerlines on the pole.

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

your generator should charge the battery, you can check with a volt meter a equalize charge is actually bad for an agm, and should not be apart of the charge profile li-on needs special care for a cold weather environment, not something I would recommend for a Generator standby

    Plow now or wait?

unless your drive is bare dry, I would be in 4x4. this is something you need to learn, you can try uphill and see how that goes as well, if it doesn't work, stop turn around and go back down.

    Plow now or wait?

do half now, half tomorrow, leave a section you won't be affected by, and see how you do with that tomorrow to see how capable you are.

    Plow now or wait?

then take half of it, and take the other half tomorrow. you haven't indicated what your plowing with, but I have spun a yukon sideways on 4 inches, all depends on the snow, only you are going to be able to judge your capability

Simple CAD software for barns and sheds?

Surprised by the number of people suggesting 360 for this type of work. I use it everyday, and wouldn't use to design a floor plan, although you can do it. you get no real visual, and building stairs etc, could take a bit of work. the architect programs really help with the visuals
  20. LittleBill21

    Plow now or wait?

the higher the snow, the more you have to sometimes "make a run at it" this is not newbie advice, if your worried about ice underneath. set the skids to leave about an inch on the ground, if you can't scrape or sand it clean.

    Plow now or wait?

my brother in law learned about waiting it out with a plow, it required a d3 dozer, when it was all said in done. Blowers can get through anything, but are slow. Sorry buddy, I have multiple snapped outdoor screws in my deck the 2nd year i built it, can't think of the brand, but the yellow and gray ones from HD and lowes. never thought i would see it.
  121. LittleBill21

And you thought you knew something about nails and screws!

because when screws break they let go instantly and provide no warning of failure, nails bend, and provide somewhat of a warning before failure. I have read it in a couple framing books and random places.

if you notice all his tires and tracks are worn out. I am curious for guys that run these machines for a living, how much power he is giving up, i know this rock wall is hard, but i guess i expect more. His new loader tires are bald, and the motors don't always sound like they are working too hard..

If you look at the run procedure, it actually has a self test to determine, if its outputting power to the relay control. so yes, it can tell if the computer is trying. Hay, its pretty simple, find the hot wire at the glow plug rail if it has one. simply disconnect it. Does the tractor run? it probably will. Most sensors need 3 wires to actually monitor anything. if its a single wire, no monitoring. generally the ecu will just short the ground side of the...

i did the flush a couple months ago. a single screw driver and raising the fel over the hood, and the line was off in about 10 seconds. not sure why you had so much trouble. it was prolly the easiest engine flush I have ever done. glad your kit worked out for you though

  176. LittleBill21

    Which oil is better??

I have one engine, that needed jaso -m (wet clutch) in a 0w-40, it does use amsoil as its the only at the time I could find that met those specs. It was 16 dollars a quart. lucky I only needed 3.

    Which oil is better??

So here is my thing, and I'm done, maybe the oil is better, maybe its 10x better then supertech, but if the rest of the car/item falls apart around the engine, ultimately it doesn't really matter in the end. I am not going to pull the motor and put it in something else, so why am I spending...

lol why is it you can always tell a amsoil dealer from 5 miles away? I have used supertech including their 2 cycle oil for the last 20 years, in prolly over 50 engines at this point. 0 of them have had issue. including my crap chainsaws that i run for hours at a time. use what you want, when...

    Allowed slope angle

how would you determine what side the pickup is on, or what level the oil is in the sump?
  182. LittleBill21

    Allowed slope angle

I have no idea, i figured with these type of engines it was a published number.
  183. LittleBill21

    Allowed slope angle

yea i am more worried about running it dry at an angle. I thought this would be a standard figure in the literature, i know that some engines require deep sumps to do this, I have to use the backhoe for hours at this angle.
