I ran nail guns daily for many years - Hitachi was our preferred gun. The steeper angle allows access into tighter spaces. Not an issue for everybody whose just framing 1 building or such. The battery operated units look like the way to go today.

Leonz is correct. Generally speaking they do not need to be tight. I think about 3/4 inch of deflection could be a good starting point.

I think they are used for transportation in big cities. But you are correct they are older and/or cheaper models with unstable lithium. Todays premium lithium LiPO4 is way more stable and much less likely to burn than that old stuff.

We extended the wheel mount 12 " to allow the wheel to rotate 360º with about 2 inches of clearance.

WE DID NOT weld the blades on. We FOUND the nuts welded on so we could not remove the blades without cutting the pivot bolts which we found unnecessary for our immediate needs. The Blades still rotate. I hope this helps

Thanks to our 5k forklift. Lifted one side at a time by slipping the forks under the tire (as close together as possible with the tractor on the ground). Then put the tractor on a jack stand as the OP showed and use the same forks to remove the liquid filled tire to put spacers on.

I think I'll keep the wheel. Extending the mount won't be difficult and it will enhance its usefulness as a mower which is how we will use it. The wheel bolts onto the mower so it could be removed without any damage.

I ended up with hardened 1/2 bolts so I could change chains easily. I looked at threaded links and U bolts. Both could be used.

I went to Lowes and dropped 250$ on a self propelled 21" bag mower for our front yard. It has lasted nearly 10 yrs and we mow all year long. Still starts on the first pull every time. I would buy another if this quits.

I was discing in 5-7 ft tall weeds. I used the bucket to push the weeds over in advance of the tractor. I was still fighting them off in the open cab occasionally

The smoother you make the road the faster they drive on it. The result here is washboard created by wheel hop at speed. Been grading my road for 23 years. A neighbor bought a new tractor and started doing it. He's doing it wrong but at least I'm not doing it. :LOL:

I would add cutting edges and allow them the hang 1/2" below the angle iron. A toplink would greatly improve the workability. Changing the angle while running can increase or decrease the cut as needed. That is a good looking unit.

I use a measure cup like this > Ratio-Rite 2-Cycle Oil Mixing Flask for my Redline 2 stroke oil After I pour the oil into the can I pour some gas in the cup, swirl, and pour that into the can to get all of the oil into the mix

While brush hogging I favor removing the bucket for visibility and keeping the FEL frame work below my sightline over the front of the hood. I have mowed with the FEL removed but the front traction suffers.

We used a 70 grade 3/8" chain. That is what we had on hand. We are not cutting anything as big or tough as what you show in the video. That is some impressive brush hog action.

There are many grades of chain. Each with their own breaking point.

Widening the front track won't help stability because the front axle is on a pivot. Until you are at the tipping point. Then it will.

I have a skidsteer with a 7ft BH on it (sometimes) It is a formidable weed eater. Great having the cutter out front. Too bad the skidsteer is so short wheel-based that it teeters in rough terrain, slapping the mower up and down. Tracks might be better. I have tires.

My 2018 MX5200 Regens at the drop of a hat. Seems like every 30 hours or so. Regen 3 times in 100 hours so far. I try to keep the rpms up. 1500 for traveling, 1800-2300 for work. This is often more rpms than needed to accomplish the task. Still it does it again and again... :rolleyes:

I do remember giving MF $100 a kit for the FEL lift cylinder parts more than $20 yrs ago. To their credit there was about 20+ parts in each but that is still a bunch of $5 O rings.

Last year I paid $500 for a large cylinder rebuild. That included 2 ranch visits to R&R the cylinder. Buddy told me he had a Kubota cylinder nobody could fix (?) and he bought a $1700 replacement to get back to work.

After doing more research I believe I was wrong about low rpms creating more particulate build up in the muffler. The amount of fuel burned seems to be the determining factor. The more fuel the tractor burns the more it regens. So idling uses very little fuel and should not hasten the regen...

Be careful putting any kind of load out on the end. The FEL max load rating is from the end of the loader arms. So ft out would be a much different story.

Normally I would say let it idle but with a regen system you are loading up the muffler with unburnt particles that will need to be burned off sooner or later by a regen cycle. So anymore than 5 min I would turn her off.

Looks like I made a mistake.

Pats quick hitch adapters make changing rear implements a breeze. I put a hydraulic cylinder on my landscape rake. That has been a game changer for my rake work.

There are many considerations. We need more information to make more than a general recommendation. What make/model tractor. What exactly are you cutting? Grass, weeds, brush, sm trees? What is the greatest diameter ? What kind of terrain? Hilly, flat, Steep ?
