On my Kubota, as long as you're not pressing the treadle pedal to move, then you can stand up or get off the tractor and it doesn't kill the engine - you don't need to set the parking brake to do this. If I am pressing on the treadle and try to stand up, it kills it.

I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 30+ saws but the 562, 2511T, and the Echo 4910 typically always go with me. My 4910 probably gets the most use as I just love that saw. But it's pretty tweaked and absolutely screams.

No saw is bulletproof and they are easily damaged buy a careless or inexperienced operator. One improper fueling, or ran too hot can leave them needing a rebuild. But if you know saws, it's pretty easy to see what you're buying.

They're not the same saw, there are more differences than what you are seeing. I know they have different carbs, I know they also have different # of rings (2 vs 1) on the piston. IIRC, they also have different port timing. A 620 jug will fit on a 590 though. Th 620 is higher revving than a 590...

TSC doesn't sell the real deal pro saws. They sell one XP saw that and it's not that favored. May be different in SE MIchigan, not sure.

It wasn't mold/mildew they were having an issue with, it was oxidation and best cleaned with potassium hydroxide. For mold/mildew, your cheapest most effect cleaner is pool shock mixed with water and a little dish soap. It's what pros use to clean algae off of homes.

You're asking the wrong guy. I started modifying my new Kubota week 1 of being brand new out of the crate. I know other guys who have deleted brand new Kubotas as well.

With all things being equal, I would go with the smaller machine and use the price difference for an emissions delete kit, that way I didn't have the emissions jink while also gaining way more HP and fuel economy for the extra money spent.

I reached out to Messicks about the injection pumps being different and why diagrams from both the 2501 and 2502 were the same considering they were different pumps. Messicks told me that while the have different part numbers, they are the EXACT same pump with no differences between the two models.

The US General boxes at Harbor Freight are nice boxes. I have two fo them that I really like. They had a large sale on them yesterday as well.

I picked this little unit up a couple weeks ago. They had quite a bit of issues with the previous 3/4HP model motors but so far the guys are saying this new 1HP version is pretty solid. Time will tell. I really like the adjustable speed of this one...

I am looking forward to seeing your comparison between a real 2511 and a clone. I love my 2511 with the Egan pipe, it's a flippin mouse that thinks it's a grizzly bear.

I park mine in a heated shop too. I use a broom and leaf blower to get the majority of it off and then let the heat do the rest. Haven't had an issue yet.

I have an electric bench top chain grinder but prefer to do all my chains by hand.

I was considering porting my 2511 but not sure if I will or not. Doesn't sound like it's worth it. I very well may do a delete on it this weekend if I have time. Me and the twins have a lot of wood to cut this weekend and they're both grounded right now so that means extra hours as punishment...

under $500 will buy you a new Echo 590 which is the best $ spent for a 60cc saw. 4910 best under 500 for 50cc saw. I have heard good things about the 400 but have no knowledge of it. The 372 can be had for under $1K and I loved mine but a buddy loved it more.

I have a 2511T with the Egan pipe. It's an absolute screamer of a saw. I cut a lot of wood with that thing just because it's so dang fun. It would be a tough decision for me considering the 4910 and the 2511T are two of my most favorite saws.

Mine stays in my heated shop when not in use.

I have ported mufflers on many of my saws and run some every single day for a couple hours and 6-10 hours on weekend days. Have a few years on some of them with no issues.

Dude you should hear my Echo 2511 with the Egan pipe. It sounds like a moto-x bike from the 90's. It's one wicked little saw!!!

For some reason I didn't think Egan was making one for the 261 yet. I own a couple of his mufflers and really like them. I also like that he dynos the saws and shows you exactly the gains from them. People woul be really surprised if they knew how much power these muffs add to a saw.
