Windstom damage and the good tool of having a tractor.

On Wednesday January 13th we got hit with 70+Mph winds, downing trees and destroying vehicles and houses on our homestead., thankfully my grapple came in on the 14th. I put 12h so far just moving logs and slash piles.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Any negative thoughts about putting tire chains on front only

I wouldn't recommend it on front only, if you have push blade/snowbox/front snow blower. Chains on all four to maintain steering. I have on rear only as I seldom need to put it in 4wd now if at all.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

Yes Marauder Mitchelli does GREAT work on videos, I'm going to use my drone too as soon as I get snow on a weekend that is snowblower worthy. Meanwhile for the 2inches at the time I keep getting, my old 2009 Suzuki Kingquad 500 with power steering and heated grips is nice to have.

Inverted snowblower on my TYM T474

This snowblower is a Canadian manufacture (Makes the best inverted besides Scandinavian manufacturers). The wonderful thing about them is, they are fast and effective. Posted this in the snowsection too......but not everybody goes there either.

    Kubota 1880 w/ blower or 2680 w/ plow

If you wanna be on budget and still get R4 tires, you can use a heated grooving knife tool from Ideal to greatly improve snow traction. Follow this thread in the tires section https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/tires/431713-groovy-tires-3.html

Are cab models Tym T474 and Branson 4815 the same tractors ?

When looking at a 2021 model Branson 4815, it sure looks like a T474.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pull type snowblower on kubota bx2380

Inverted blower for areas that don't have to deal with drifting, is very efficient and fast as displayed by airbiscuits video. I've got a 35.9PTO hp TYM T474 with a 68'' MK Martin Meteor, and I LOVE this setup.

    Groovy tires

I just grooved the R4 tires on my TYM T474, first snow have been snowman snow and very moist wet snow. Could barely make it up in 4wd on death hill on my steep driveway on R4 tires, after grooving them I can go up slow in 2wd. 200% improvement.

    Snow痴 coming

Snow finally came, and my TYM T474 with the MK Martin SB68 was working like a charm.:licking: AAAAAND I need to groove my tires, got an iron here to do it with. Just need to clear out the warehouse after butchering and hunting season. :confused2:

    Snow痴 coming

First snow of the season in NW Montana. Gotta use front bucket/rear blade carefully until ground is frozen, THEN the MK Martin inverted blower will be the weapon of choice.

TYM T474 oil and filter change.

I jumped ship and made a video while I did the 1st oil change on my T474 this weekend. This engine is pretty much a straight shot and easy to service. Filter I used was aftermarket NAPA FIL1626 and Rotella T6 5w40 for winter use in Montana. Anyway, take it for what's worth. I've run into so many...

Oil & Fuel TYM T264 50 Hour Cross Reference Parts

I'm going to change my oil/filter in my T474 with the Kukje A2300N2 this weekend with 25h on it, I finally cross referenced a NAPA 1626 (Wix 51626) filter that will work, it is even a smidge longer than the stock .

    FINALLY, my Inverted snowblower arrived.

I sprayed it down with ACF 50, which is a good anti corrosion prevention agent from the aerospace industry. It had some rust on bolts and chains from sitting out since 2019 at distributor. it had some finish scratches and such too, but they knocked off $150. ACF 50 is known in the motorcycle...

    FINALLY, my Inverted snowblower arrived.

In these Covid 19 times, I finally managed to receive my MK Martin SB68 P/T inverted snowblower. I got a hydraulic chute rotation kit, deflector will maybe come later if I see the need?

    T574

This isn't pulling trees, but carrying a large green sappy log weighing about 2500#. The T474 is an impressive compact tractor so far. Tree puller seem to weigh 600# give or take by itself. If you choose a T494 (one frame size up and possible same as T574? T574 has a Turbo instead of N/A?) You...

Chains on rear wheels only with inverted snowblower

I chose these H-pattern DUO239 7mm alloy chains for the rear since I have limited fender room on the front of the rear fender.

Chains on rear wheels only with inverted snowblower

The dog was a picture of my spirit animal on how I feel most days anymore. Well back to snowremoval on sheet of ice, yes I did what you with my halfton truck plow. Plow downhill in most cases......and with a snowblower there won't be nearly the same weight to deal with either. Here is the rig...

Chains on rear wheels only with inverted snowblower

Hi! Guys, I am waiting on my MK Martin MB68 P/T inverted snowblower for next snow season, but my question is? Can I get away with chains on rear tire mostly. I take care of the ranch I live on with 6 houses on 30 acres. Mostly flat except the last part of driveway entering highway is pretty steep.
