    I am looking at buying a thickness planer. The surfaces of many of these pieces is simply nowhere near flat. I had to use the table saw to plane them true, so I could get a consistent taper with the dado blade. A technique that works, but I don't feel very comfortable doing.

    If it's MFWD, there is no adjustment and HIGHLY unlikely something is bent. It appears perhaps your front axle is pivoting a little as the ground isnt level and that gives the impression one side has more toe in.

    Planting part of the property to buckwheat also reduces mowing time and control of noxious weeds. If I can till, plant, till... It's less time consuming than mowing it 7x per year. Not to mention it's absolutely beautiful when in bloom.
