Tires look brand new, but are 11 years old. Keep or discard?

I've had the entire tread come off of one tire of my empty, dual axle dump trailer. Maybe 1500 miles on it, max. But 20 years old! Stored inside on concrete 99.9% of the time.

    Box blade

My United brand from back in 1990 had one long 1/2" or 5/8" diameter rod that spanned the width of the box blade. The scarfiers each had height adjustment holes that rod fit thru. So you "kebab'ed" the rod from the side, thru a hole in the frame, all the scarfiers, and another hole in the...

Where to go for rear tire replacement???

Bingo! The local Firestone franchise doesn't do anything but automotive anymore. Counter guy there has helped me re-seat the bead on a zero turn and a front Kubota tire before, probably just to get rid of me! No charge either time and he recommended a local shop for a permanent repair.

Installing a 12” strike plate for security

Ugh. I went thru that at my shop which had a residential grade utility door, lock, and deadbolt. From the looks of the first break-in damage, they probably only had to kick it once. The door jamb was very light weight pine. I reinforced the jamb with angle iron and it held up better during...
