What’s going on at TYM USA

I think the last sentence says a lot. The CEO is going back to Korea. People tend to assume that people from other countries like being in whatever other country they are assigned rather than at home. While that may be true for some, most often it is a hardship to be assigned many miles from...

Why hasn't Yanmar been more active in the USA?

No, they have an agreement for TYM to manufacture a couple of models for Yanmar. TYM already has some models with Yanmar engines. The advantage for Yanmar is to broaden their offerings and get their brand out to more operators. Word of mouth spreads. People will care less that 'Bob" has a...

  16. Torvy

Why hasn't Yanmar been more active in the USA?

I think part of the problem for Yanmar is that they have a premium tractor at a premium price. While they have a long history of quality, the market (average consumer) doesn't know them. Typically, foreign manufacturers come into the US with a low price point until they establish a network and...

TYM T474 TX47 loader pallet lift capacity

The pin rating is important for comparison of tractors. The specific number is less important for that purpose. The MT3 47 lifts 110 lbs less AND 15" lower than the T494. To directly compare, you would need to get the capacity of the T494 at the lower height. Given how physics works, it will...

Grapple ideas and how are these companies?

Everything is a trade-off. 1/3 more weight , but 50%+ more strength. So, the purchaser needs to determine if they are more likely to need another 100lbs lifted to a specific height, or more likely to 'tweak' their grapple. I'm solving the problem by getting a tractor that can lift...
