LOL. Wyoming PBS is heavily funded from entities outside of Wyoming along with the Powder River Resource council that do not want coal as an energy source even if it met EPA standards.

    Job Fairs

I don't see the correlation of drug testing and searching ones private life. People bring their private lives into view when they fail a test. They have to go home and tell their family and friends they were fired for failing a drug test at work.
  36. Citydude

    Job Fairs

So if a person tests positive, what is your idea of measuring impairment? How do you explain to someones grieving family that "he tested positive for drugs" "but we felt he could do his job however he kind of killed your husband by running over him with a D10 dozer".

  39. Citydude

    Job Fairs

Well we are talking about job fairs, you know, work? I fired a few people with the same attitude. I could care less what they did off company property. If they were too dumb to show up Monday morning after a weekend of whatever impaired, they were fired. People deserve a safe work environment.

    Check those nuts and bolts

That's my dealers practice to mark his fasteners when assembled. I was kind of shocked he would mark up my new 4060 that way but it wasn't long before i seen the same thing. Brilliant.

John Deere rep going to take tractor

John Deere rep going to take tractor

The Dealer rep was unquestionably out of line in how he handled the situation. His first question should have been "do you still want this tractor?" The conflict: The purchase contract wasn't read until after business hours. The next day, the signee is busy with other things as well as...

    Check those nuts and bolts

When done tightening bolts, take a sharpie and put a line from the head of the bolt to the plate its attached to. Then, its just takes a second to eyeball them and look to see if the bolts are backing off.

How many tractors in your neighborhood?

We bought our property 6 years ago. When i brought in my L2501 with a Farmi winch, i was the odd ball of the neighborhood. They all had skid steers. It made sense to them when they seen it it action.

    REAL Cowboys

Growing up in Wyoming, it was hard not to know a real cowboy. My grandfather's best friend and his wife come to mind. They worked their cattle ranch off of horses. Jaw dropping just watching them ride.

    Goodbye old friend....

I had a 1975 Dodge D100 that got me to work and back and was the vehicle my daughter learned to drive on county roads. It moved me from a messy divorce and never complained when starting in sub freezing weather. I sold it. That was 20 years ago and still regret doing that.

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

The 2501 has plenty of power to the wheels and as you pointed out, your needing more weight for ground engaging tools. I found putting weight in the bucket ( dirt) added more pulling power when i was moving dirt around my shop with a boxblade or scraper blade.

    Texas Fall/Winter thread!

Well, here in lies the problem. The DOE does not regulate fossil fuels. The department of the interior does or used to. The DOE regulates nukes and energy from nukes. Emissions from fossil fuels really doesn't fall in their wheelhouse. Insert the EPA, and add another chest beater to the fray...

    Texas Fall/Winter thread!

The bigger question is why did a state have to ask for permission from the DOE to ramp up energy to the masses that needed it. The whole thing sounds wonky.

Speaking of fear, mankind did not evolve with fear included in the decision making. Fear does more harm than good. Forge ahead and live your life. We would have never landed on the moon if fear was equated into the decision.

Help Me Figure Out What Attachments I Need!

Snow removal has varied requirements. What is the average snowfall in your area? We average 140" a year. Some years its been over 200". A front or rear blade would soon run out of room to blade the snow off our 1600' road. A rear snowblower was required.
