    i use steering brakes, and i think i can manuver better than i did with a 3 point blower. i can also raise it up over gate height to make tight spots easier to get thru. i do have chains though, as i also use a front plow. plowing on ice without chains is a fools errand.

    Some areas here in idaho require a concrete underground tank if there are no fire hydrant nearby. Cost $$$, funny thing is the fire dept doesnt want to hook into them because they dont know condition of water supply, and afraid it will hurt their rigs. Typical govt garbage. we have hydrants nearby.

    Place the voltage tester on the battery and watch the valuse on the battery voltage when cycling glow plugs. If battery voltage also drops into the 7s, that would explain whats happening.

    Mine still fogs up when first turning on heat…has for 10 years. My ac drains just fine. I can see the puddle on ground at end of hose in summer. I leave side vent open for first 15-20 min and it wont fog up again. I also leave the a/c button on for first half hour or so.

    You need to get the battery load tested. I just replaced the battery on my DK45 for almost the same problrm. Tracyor turned over, but glow plugs not getting juice. I load tested the 900 cca battery, it tested at 380. i replaced battery and its back to its old self. Fires up great.

    Mine steam up windows when first starting up moving or blowing snow. I crack 1 window and press a/c button on while setting temp on highest heat. After all fogging is gone, i can close window and turn off ac compressor, and fog never returns. Been like that for 10 years now.

    Ive used mine for 10 years without the cooler. I used an ir heat gun first 3 years, never had any issues with heat. then again our temps are very cold in winter when in use. Ill even get snow buildup on top of tank while using it …. Snow does melt off, but not fast.

    Could be a bad oil pressure sensor unit. On any other vehicle i usually pull the sensor and install an oil pressure gauge and compare reading to specs. I have no idea if tym sensors are normally open or normally closed units.

    I could use a smart outlet…by why bother. I just plug my trucks and tractor into a standard plug in timer. I set the timer for daily start at 6am and it runs for 3 hours. If i use vehicles thats great. If i dont, its a waste but during winter i generally use the units daily.
