If I was buying a new grapple I’d look hard at the frostbite or that style. Won’t over tax our small loaders and I’m betting will do all the same work.

I got an iron craft brush hog last fall and am very impressed with it. Brushhog brand would be another I’d look at, Rhino or Dirt Dog as well. Landpride seems way over priced to me.

Only thing I hate about the speedcross is they won't do pavement...you'll start tearing off the little gripper nubs in about .27 miles. If you're 100% trails great but mixed pretty much no go. At least that's how they've been for me. Wore out two pairs.

Get a small pump, unless you get it very high you won’t have enough pressure to over come friction loss in the hose and have anything coming out of a wand. I used a 12v/500 gph bilge pump from Walmart for years and the pump didn’t fail it broke one hose fittings. For $20 worth it.

If you have a dirt road or empty pavement do the experiment. Get up to a fair speed, put it in neutral, turn off the engine (but make sure you don't lock the steering!) and react. It's going to feel a lot like driving a side by side or an old non-power steering truck.

With the weather we’ve been having I’d look at small pine stands especially near any recent burns. They are going to be making a lot of nests as well so keep your eyes out in tall grasses near any type of cover that would shield from wind or rain. If you can find this combo along a drainage...

Never bought any thinking it was a made in USA tractor. I’ve seen they made some huge plants in several states so more money here than some other brands maybe/probably. I do place a very high priority on made in USA, but I didn’t see any colors made in the US in the sub 100hp range.

Looking at that design I don't think you'd get nearly enough air or draft for a hot enough fire and you'd have a lot of items that don't fully burn.

30 seems pretty high. I use the parked on pavement trick for R4’s, if the whole tread is touching without a lot of sidewall overhang you’re good.

I’m not 100% sure, I know it has something to do with how the tractor has four wheels Turing that are two different sizes (front vs back). One is a lot more like front wheel assist and the other one will literally grind your tires down if your on pavement which I think is the MFWD.

Sealant will have no affect if you have filled tires. I keep a plug kit around, this one Amazon.com I've used a few times on the SxS and an implement but never the tractor. Know how to reseat a tire on a rim as well, I've never punctured tires (knock on wood) but I've knocked the beads loose...

The work you’re describing isn’t tractor work. Even grappling is going to be very slow and likely if very costly flat tires high. Skid steer sounds like the tool you need unless the structures are multi story, then just rent an excavator for a weekend. You’d be shocked what you can get done...

Stop digging with your loader and get a box blade. Both you and your tractor will be happier. Scoop up loose material with the bucket.

I have needed a 3/4 drive only because I hate using an adapter on the really large sockets. But with an adapter my 1/2 Milwaukee has gotten everything off to include large truck tires.

If you fill the rear tires on the M4 I’m sure you’d be pushing 7.5. Fill the fronts for another 3-400. Wheel weights etc.

For the work you describe, you are correct. Weight will be much more important than HP. When it comes down to it weight is a measure of how much work a tractor can do, HP is how fast it can do it.

What I use as well, it fits under the hood well enough I don’t notice it at all. Just make sure you’re getting a good size/seal.

My open station tractor gets just about 3x the hours every year that the cabbed tractor does. If you can only have one open station is really hard to beat. Now a second tractor, that’s tricky 🤣

For the assembly you might not have to mount the BH. You may have power beyond hoses that will reach, they are a little long because you generally hook them up first then position the BH under “it’s own power” before final hookup to the tractor. I would confirm in writing they have warranty...

500i is starting to see a lot of issues. Not with the “i” but with how light they went on other components to try and keep it competitive in weight/power ratio with the 46x I think. Lot of broken handles due to thin metal and other breakages not common in their other pro grade saws.

I think these are pretty optimistic numbers…and going from 6’ to 12’ will not more than double your speed that’s a fault in the calculator estimating overlap. Calculators also don’t calculate maneuvering/redirecting, they really just think you’re mowing a straight line at full speed all the time.

If you’re not using it much I’d actually recommend changing more often. The crap that grows/accumulates in diesel stored for a while is really hard on injectors. Running often 400 hrs is plenty often.

Drawbar’s main drawback (lol) is that they have very poor load ratings for downward force. The can pull a crap ton but should be used for anything with meaningful tongue weight. Many 3PT options are available, you just have to be careful you always have tongue weight as it gets embarrassing...

The outriggers aren’t gonna help prevent you from tipping because the fulcrum is the front wheels. Sounds like you are lifting close to a max load and the inertia of your movement is causing the light rear. Slow down, don’t carry so much, or….get a bigger tractor :poop:
