When the dealer installed a backhoe on a Mahindra 3510, the hydraulic system was big enough to run the bh. When they plumbed it in, the 3pt line fed the bh so my remote (plumbed to the FEL) didn’t work with the BH.

85 HP pulls it deep as arms will allow. The pig is to leave a tube in the ground to drain wet spots.

It’s what’s left of a Rotary Hoe. Use was to weed just planted corn, beans, etc without damaging crop or to stir crusted over ground allowing seedlings to sprout. Barely touched the ground enough for tips to flick the shallow weeds out leaving the deeper rooted crop. Faster the better.

Mahindra makes a hoe and subframe for subcompact tractors. I put a new Mahindra by Bradco on my 3510 compact. Best $10K spent on equipment.

I hang my grease guns in a 5 gal bucket with a couple clean rags and small coffee can with odd tools and extra zerks.

Rotary mowers are not good lawn mowers, leave too rough of a cut. Cut slower and higher at full throttle may help. Cut it twice a week apart to get it low is my way of using a mower around the yard.

Something is causing the mower not to spin smoothly, my guess is a blade is hung up and not freewheeling on the stump jumper. Worst case could be PTO shaft in a bind and bent or the blade shaft. What kind of mower is it? HD 10’ with twin pans or a finish mower? Makes a difference, pictures help.

I’m in MS and never had any vehicle rust due to environmental conditions. In North MS, road depts use sand on bridges if warrantied I do try to keep stuff with motors under roof. My 20+ yr old stuff stays covered in pollen and dust here in the Delta.

Perhaps the field could be plowed and drag smooth. Plant in hay or natural grass. Do it sections at a time until it is pasture smooth. I mow and spray only the acres getting planted, pathways between fields and around the cabin. Rest is growing wildlife cover.

Take the cylinders to a Hydraulic Shop. Some things aren’t worth the effort and cost to do in-house. Rebuilding cylinders or gearboxes is one of those. 3510 is at dealer to get backhoe boom cylinder out and rebuild, Way too much for me to tackle.

I use hydraulic oil in my zerk buster. Works best on the junky treeline equipment with old grease plugging zerks. Moving FEL & BH is required to grease my stuff.

Drag a piece of chain link fence with a tire tied on over the seed bed after sowing clover. If a good seedbed is possible, just fence drag. I used to sow wheat, clover, oats, turnips or whatever was on sale on rough disked ground so a weighted drag was needed.

All my rolling stock has this type connector and any thing needing 12v power has the same connector. I keep couple of 10' & a 15' ext cord. Makes everything work anywhere, Sprayer, fuel pump, small spreader, big Sprayer shutoff, planter power, etc.

I use a spud wrench and small crowbar to change my gang angles.

Most modern small BH have a boom speed control to do that.

Looks to me like it is a barn find machine. If it runs, all the hoses will fail in time under normal use. There is no evidence of grease on any of the normal greasy places. Even pressure washing still leaves a greasy spot. Definitely a shop project.

Connect the top of fork to the top of bucket with a pin system of some sort. The lower part should rest against bucket cutting edge. See them used in road building crews to quickly turn a wheeled loader into a forklift.

85 hp is adequate for my 4R JD planter. I don’t think you have enough hp for that planter. You would be fine with a mounted 2 row, maybe.

There may be a screen in the fuel tank or right before the fuel pump. Old 5500 did that when fuel got low while mowing or plowing. Seemed the screen at the fuel pump would get gummed up with the gunk sloshing around in an almost empty tank.

Let it sit over night and check all the fluids.

I like my 10 & 60 series. Used to have a 00 series but traded up.

Most insurance companies sell Marine Ins for tractors and boats. Ask them, if not, buy it elsewhere. The lender is requiring it. I had mine in place prior to closing the loan when I bought the 8560.

Check with your insurance agent for a Marine policy on the tractor for what is owed on it.

I have 2 Mahindra and owned another one but traded up to a 8510. I have no issues and little need for parts except filters. I use them to get things done and not to look pretty. I would buy another one but only an older 100 hp if I could find a good one. I also have a great dealer close by.

I do remember my 3510 clutch stuck after sitting when it was new. My dealer told me to get tractor moving and press/release the brakes hard on alternating sides till it frees up. Seemed there was a load pop when it broke free. I still pin the clutch down when winterizing

My 3510 did that and a pressure plate spring broke, had to split it to replace clutch, throwout and pressure plate

I broke a pressure plate spring in 3510 and clutch wouldn’t disengage from pressure plate . I could feel the 2 springs working but the broke one keep it engaged. Caused by riding the clutch doing loader work.

Spray it scorched earth and then do a controlled burn. Prep the soil, lime, fertilizer for a good seedbed. Plant you a preferred grass and keep it watered to smother everything out.

I let my old tractor warm up enough to stop the valve chatter, hydraulic takes a few minutes of flexing to get it warmed. Few minutes idling does the trick. Reverse procedure with hot engine to cool down. For few minutes of work, warm up then shut down when done. Do it often.

Being hard to turn could be from it getting bent and straightened back. I was boxblading once and pushing hard, had the cheap top link bend some. I did have it run out to dozer the blade. After straightening it never worked smooth. Sold with tractor.

How much are you asking?

2 acres isn't big enough to justify the cost or the effort to bale. Plant it in a big garden, pasture or food plot. Plant different things till you find what works for you. Buy hay as needed. I used to cut and bale 25 ac to feed cows. Spent way more on equipment than hay cost to buy.

My new neighbor asked me to disk his newly mowed grown up acre to plant a new food plot. We agreed on $50/ac. He was upset when it took 10 times over the acre to even see dirt My charge was $500. I did tell him one trip with planter @ $75/ac. He went and bought his own equipment .

I use the same anchors for my elevated shooting houses. One in the middle under the stand. When I do move them, usually have to dig the anchor out with backhoe. After couple years, they won't pull out.

It's still too wet here for any tractoring the next few days. It's been a while since anything broke that required heat, weld or big hammer to fix. Im sure that will change in the next couple of months. Something always breaks!

Are your lift arms adjustable? They should go lower than the lift pins and float with the plane as it is pulled. If the plane raises up when rear tires go over the humps, the lift arms should be longer.

Any of the 8000 or the 100 Series are unicorns since Mahindra has stepped out of the 75hp+ tractors. I was killing some time kicking tires on one of the new cabbed 60hp, owner advised not to ever trade the 8560. He said the 85 & 105 were the best tractors Mahindra ever made.

I have a frame mount Bradco for a CUT, had it for about 10 years. I use it often by doing all the digging chores when it is mounted up. I also have a bigger tractor so that makes a difference. Those 3 pt backhoes are hard on the tractor and will break something if not very cautious.

I used to pull a piece of chain link fence with 3 or 4 tires wired to it. Now I use a 4 bar spike harrow that came off a Do-All.

Leaky hyd couplings and hoses helps to keep fresh fluid in the tractor.

New oil in gearbox, grease the u-joints and sharpen blades. About all the maintenance required. TSC May have a manual if it’s a county line. May be KingCutter

There’s lots of suction pumps to get the old oil out. Could try mixing some diesel and cheap oil to stir it up and keep siphoning it out till clean. Add some Lucas to the new oil and keep a check on it. If it will operate at speed with the slack in coupler, use it. If it vibrates too much, repair.

The 8560 starts quicker at about 9k rpm than ladled down.

I use a camera(s) on my cab tractor. I can reverse the image on monitor so it is the right image. I use it on the forks more than as a backup camera. I prefer the mirrors to watch the mower, planter and corn sheller. I can also put a camera in the seed hopper if need be.

Do you guys really think a ‘cab’ tractor lost the roof?? I have seen canopies flopping while towed several times. I always strap my canopy down to keep it from being ripped off. Come on guys!!

I have used chain top links on mowers since I was 18 with no problems. Im 65 today.

Try the liquid ballast in rears, keep the bucket on and low to the ground. Use the seat belt until you feel comfortable using the machine on slopes. Duals on that little tractor are for looking cool in parades .
