There is a know between your feet that adjusts the rate of drop on the 3 point. If turned all the way in I believe it will actually prevent the 3 point from lowering. The more you turn it out the faster it will lower.
Great tractor - its an 1165 and built by Iseki. It has an Iseki engine - water pump parts should be available form a local MF dealer. Fan and radiator might be more difficult. Try AGCO parts on line and see what other models might use the same parts.
For tappered pipe fittings use teflon tape and tighten them good n tite. For JIC fittings and o-ring fittings DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE and make them good and snug - over tightening will result in leaks. Strongly recommend you google JIC, o-ring and pipe (NPT) hydraulic fittings so you know what...
Iseki engines have a very good reputation. As a manufacturer is is always better business to use your own engine vs sourcing an engine. I believe the only reason the Shibaura engine was offered is Iseki was still in the process of developing an engine that could meet the current and future...
Look very closely at your shift linkage - it usually turns out that the external shift linkage got tweaked over time. 1. Disconnect the shift linkage at the shift arm going into the transmission housing. 2. shift it into low range with a pair of pliers on the shift arm. 3. If it doesn't jump...
How heavy of a rear weight do you want? I needed some ballast quickly and welded up a frame and rear wheel weights to fit the 3 point. Guessing it weighs 750 lbs or so but it sets back a little which gives it a little leverage. I need to mount some wheel weights on my tractor and once I do that...
There are 2 fuel filters on the tractor. 1 is a small inline filter under the tractor. BE SURE TO REPLACE THAT FILTER yearly. The engine uses a burner and injector to regenerate. After regeneration the system relies on fuel to cool down the burner and injector. If you shut the engine off during...
Looking for a source for a seal kit for a power steering cylinder on a ford 960 narrow front with a 5/8" rod. New Holland does not have one (there fits a 1/2" rod) and neither does Merssik's. I was told the seal kit from a '55 - '56 might work but I don't know if the is true or not.
The front axle oil level should be 1/2 way up the horizontal shaft that is visible thru the fill hole. After draining the oil, refill it., wait 5 minutes and recheck the level. If you dump the oil in to fast it can create a few air pockets that will affect the visible oil level. If you have a...
Look at Tractorhouse.com to see what they are selling for - in todays economy I would hold onto what you have. I'm guessing its paid for and at only 385 hours in 8 yrs its not anything that you use a lot.
Just a guess but either the line got snagged on something you drove over or the hose and/or clamp was not properly installed during production and it finally worked itself off.
Generally one consideration on levers for all manufacturers is the orientation of the lever knob in multiple positions in relation to other lever knobs and fixed objects (such as fenders or seat) to avoid pinch points.
Great for municipalities, road travel (last much longer) and roadside mowing as some one said before. However less traction then R1 and R4 in loose soil and mud.
The 1825E is the same as the 1835E and 1840E but with a smaller engine that doesn't need to meet the stringent emmissions requirements. I have not heard of anyone mentioning anything about front wheel camber before - can't comment.
The same engine is used in production today - I have a hard time believing an AGCO dealer can't get you the parts. There is very few parts available in the aftermarket unless you look for used. Might try EBAY for used stuff.
Either near the range lever or transmission lever on the transmission housing - it will probably screw into the transmission housing and have a couple wires coming out of it.
I am not advocating it but I have a few people say basically the same thing as Alexpops - just gut the DPF and it will work fine. However if under warranty you will void the warranty on any engine issues and of course if Uncle Sam finds out you gutted the DPF there could be a hefty price to pay.
the dot of paint likely came form the factory - the QA guy probably puts the paint dot on their after checking the oil level is correct. You see that a lot on bolts that need to be properly torqued as well.
there should be a turnbuckle above the clutch pedal. Adjust it so you have about 3/4" of freeplay on the clutch pedal or so (double check the manual on the exact amount of freeplay)
Enjoy it as much as you can. Get an attorney that does that sort of thing and they can makes sure the rest goes to scholarships, children's hospital, local fire department, local church, trust funds or what ever you desire.
The loader mount bolt pattern on the tractor has not changed since the introduction of the GC series. The loader model has changed 3 times and as a result the mounts have changed 3 times. The loaders and mounts are not interchangeable - you need the correct mount for loader. If you have the...
That engine is designed to run at up to 106° C (220°F) - not sure why you are stopping it when it hits 180° F. 180°F that is just the point where where the thermostat opens.
That filter screen pulls out from the side and is very easy to clean. Might need to turn the steering wheel all the way to one direction to make it easier to pull the screen out.
My recommendation is MF4710 or MF5710. A lot beefier built than the rest of the tractors in that size on the market - look the the tractor weights and you will see what I am talking about.
Its very simple and will make sense when you pull it apart. The seal itself is a 2 piece seal - there is an inner sleeve that fits on the shaft and then a rubber seal that seals against the sleeve. You will likely destroy the "cap" or plug when removing it so you will need to replace that too...
1. Ebay
2. Made by Iseki with Isuzu engine I think - they look really cool
3. sending unit - take it out and see if the resistance changes when you move the float up and down
4. you can change the wheel spacing. Take the wheel off and keep it as vertical as possible and walk it in or out - don't...
There were no blower motor upgrades in 2017 or 2019 to my knowledge. AGCO released a service bulletin to dealers in 2017 and two service bulletins in 2019 regarding the air conditioner and a bulletin in 2018 about a/c compressor noise. The air conditioner system was changed in production late...
No - the AGCO diagnostic tool is EDT but a dealer will need to hook it up for you. If the dash displays an error code you should be able to find the definition of the error code in the owners manual I think.
No repair kit but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Take pictures and take it apart - it might be something you can do yourself with an o-ring or sealant rated for use with diesel fuel.
Not being able to steer with a loaded bucket when the tractor is stationary and the moment the tires start to roll it will steer just fine is normal. Almost all MF compacts (and many others) have been that way for a long time. For your other issue the performance shouldn't be much difference...
Not sure what vintage tractor you have - but early units where using DOT 4 brake fluid and later units use petroleum based brake fluids. The 2 fluids are not compatible - if you mix them by adding DOT 4 to a later production tractor the seals in the master cylinders and slave cylinders will...
I believe you can leave the mower on with the backhoe installed but there is no real value in it because as you stated you need to raise and lower the rocker arms to raise and lower the mower and the backhoe prevents you from lowering the rocker arms.
The above response is correct for removing the front drive shaft. The tube (cover) is collapsible - just need to remove a bolt I think. Slide the snap rings on either end of the drive shaft to allow you to slide the couplers away from the drive shaft.
Plate bolts to engine and has a boss that fits into a frost plug hole. The block heater screws into the boss on the plate. I believe its done that way because there is very little depth available for the block heater element inside the block.
I believe a cylinder with larger diameter cylinder rod will be available in the near future. With that being said that stump bucket really shouldn't be on that loader. There is way too much leverage - if the bucket is at a steep angle and you are driving forward (and you will be if you are...
Mahindra in general developed a reputation for poor NA aftersales support within the industry well before COVID. They are not a bad product but if you can't get parts or service it becomes a huge inconvenience.
2600HD replaced the 500 and 400 series. All 3 series were built in Brazil. Lots of parts in common between the three different series. Not sure if it is accurate or not but I once heard the exchange rate between the USD and the Brazilian dollar was no longer favorable and MF had the 4600 series...
The mfg can void warranty on the components that were damaged as a direct result of aftermarket parts being installed or poor workmanship by the installer but that's about it. If the customer replaces a light and the transmission fails later - the mfg hasn't got a leg to stand on to say the...
What you are experiencing is pretty normal for MF compacts. The moment the tractor starts moving an inch it will steer from stop to stop just fine. Unless the operator is working inside a small pen or something it really create any issues - especially on an HST tractor since the ground speed...
I reread what your goals are and I'm not so sure a core (plug) aerator would do exactly what you are trying to accomplish. You might want to look into it.
Any idea why so many brand new Mahindra tractors and implements have been on Big Iron auctions for the past several weeks. Mahindra is listed almost always as the seller.
I'm apparently getting old an feeble minded. I'm having trouble sharpening drill bits smaller than 3/16" by hand on the bench grinder anymore. Are the Drill Doctors I see advertised worth the money?Re there better brands out there?
Hi. Was wondering if anyone had a full length gravity tilt 24 foot 14K pound trailer they have been very happy with that they would like to recommend. Could be bumper hitch or gooseneck. Every thing I see on the internet is either split deck or power tilt. Thanks.
My 960 is left at the farm where there is no power and might get started and used 2 times a year. For simplicity and reliability I want to convert the starting system vs having to mess wit hit every other time I want to use it. It currently has 6 volt system, a generator and points. I can easily...
Looking for a few photos of shop stools people made in the past. I have a few stamped steel tractor style seats (none are collectible) and some old disc blades that would work as a base. I could just weld a chunk of 14" long thin wall pipe in between the two pieces and call it good but it would...
I park a couple utility trailers at the farm 20 miles from home. The area is partially wooded, no one lives on the property and there are no outbuildings. My issue is the pack rats (wood rats) play havoc with any exposed trailer wires. For those of you not familiar with pack rats they are pretty...
I am looking for a gear box and a few other items for on a 100+ hp project. Surplus Center does not have what I need. Is there another surplus company that handles drive parts, hydraulic parts, etc....
I must be way over thinking this because I have managed to confuse myself.
I am looking at purchasing a 22' - 24' gravity tilt deck trailer (which typically have a 4' - 6' stationary deck) to haul vehicles, a 70 hp tractor and any other stuff I normally haul. I was hoping to avoid a deck over...
Looking to match up a few parts. Does any one know which MF models are most similar to the TAFE 35DI and 45DI that were sold in the US. I believe they are both similar to the MF2605 and MF231. It appears that there is also a current production MF35 sold in other parts of the world that is built...
I am building a 30' x 30' x 10' pole barn with 1 end fully open (10' 30 opening). The roof trusses are gable shaped. The open side of the building will be facing straight East. The prevailing wind blows from the West, Southwest or South. Will use metal sheeting for the roof and sides.
I am...
I am trying to refurbish an old 2 bottom john Deere model 44 pull type plow. Does anyone know a salvage yard that has old Deere plows - lots of tractor parts but striking out on finding implement parts.
Has any one found an aftermarket hi lift blade they would recommend for the GC mower decks? In the summer the grass gets really dry around here and doesn't spring back up as nicely after the front tires go over it.
With the advanced understanding that I need to get my head examined, I would like to build an articulated (steers in the middle) cub cadet tractor using 2 existing tractors - preferably using the 1000 - 1650 series or 70's vintage JD lawn tractors. Has anyone seen a build thread that was posted...
With the advanced understanding that I need to get my head examined, I would like to build an articulated (steers in the middle) cub cadet tractor using 2 existing tractors - preferably using the 1000 - 1650 series. Has anyone seen a build thread that was posted by some one who has done one of...
The farm equipment industry is a bit messed up at the moment. Larger equipment sales are slow in most parts of the world for all manufacturers, but I am told the smaller stuff in NA is actually moving pretty good for all manufacturers. The smaller equipment buyer in NA generally has a source of...
Whats the best way to estimate shop light requirements? A few years ago I built a 24 x 26 garage with a 10' ceiling. The interior walls and the ceiling are finished with standard unpainted OSB and the concrete floor is painted white (you would be amazed how much that helps lighten up the inside...
I have a late 50's F600 Ford and need to shorten the wheel base on it. Drilling new holes and sliding the rear axle forward is not possible because the shape of the bottom of the C channel frame is different at the spring perches than it is in the middle of the frame. I have no issue with...
Who makes the UTV vehicles for Kioti and are they sold under another brand? Someone told me that E-Z GO (a division of Textron) has the same UTV and its made by a company called Deadong. They look like a nice machine - any reason to stay clear of them. Any recalls?
I have to ask.... I saw on a thread where someone successfully used oven cleaner to remove old grease from and engine and primed it. Has anyone else tried this? How does it compare to using store bought off the shelf engine degreaser? Any particular type of oven cleaner work better than other?
I need suggestions on good ways to remove hedge apple (osage orange) trees. The smaller ones out in the open are easy enough to cut down, but the ones in the headge row are a different story. They are 2 - 3 ft in diameter, easily 40 - 50 ft tall and very closely spaced (intertwined). Just ta...
I am converting an old single axle Hesston Stackhand (given to me for free) into a trailer. I have access to 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" flat steel plate (also available free) to use for the deck. The stringers on the Stackhand that I would be welding the deck to are probably 18" apart. The Stackhand...
I need a bridge to cross a dry creek that has water in it maybe 2 months out of the year. We had a lot of rain this year and due to the lay of the land I realized a culvert is not an option. Was looking for simple ideas to build a bridge to span a 10 ft gap so I can drive my tractor across in...
Does anyone have any photos of a cage (gaurd) or has maybe seen a cage installed on a compact tractor to protect the operator from branches, etc... The tractor is used primarily in the woods. I'm looking for ideas before I start fabricating.
The CAT B series is the same as the MF1500 series. If there is no B after the CAT model number, then its the same as the MF1400 series except for the hood.
