Someone asked elsewhere about engine speeds against PTO speeds, so....
I've just been and tested my TX2140. These readings will give you a good idea what to expect...
Engine RPM 1026 (measured on the end of the crankshaft)
PTO gear 1 =180 RPM
PTO gear 2 =296 RPM
PTO gear 3 =470 RPM
Engine RPM...
Wanted.
Pair of uprights (arrowed) that link the short rear hydraulic arms to the 3 point linkage lower long arms please. Happy to take just the adjustable link if you don't have a pair.
I'm on the boarder between Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. United Kingdom.
Thanks in advance
Quick TX question. How many turns lock to lock does your steering wheel rotate please?
Why? I've had my steering box to bits, and I think I've not assembled it correctly!
Thanks in advance @everyone :)
Thank you.
There has to be plenty of old machines in the UK to get a reasonable secondhand steering box. If not, I've found a source for a new shaft and work gear bearing.
I think its a Kubota.
Looking at various adverts advertising the column shaft with worm bearing. This item was listed as fitting all these tractors (mine actually being the TX2140);
Iseki TX1300,
Iseki TX1500,
Iseki TX145,
Iseki TX155,
Iseki TX2140,
Iseki TX2160.
Wanted please, Steering box for TX21** series, probably the same as many other models.
Can anyone help please, or links to someone who may be able to help?
I'm on the Herefordshire/Gloucestershire boarder UK.
Thanks in advance to @everyone. :)
I bought one from www.whp.co.uk for £234.36 inc vat and delivery. I had the choice of one the same spec (pressure and GPM) or another the same size, but slightly greater GPM which I ran with.
Hello,
I've stripped down my Iseki TX2140 about a week ago to change the clutch. Mostly all back together, however I'm clearly going senile as I can't remember what linkage goes where on the throttle, doh.
I was unable to get the whole rods and levers as one photo as the FEL bits are in the...
I'm looking for links to someone in the UK who can supply a replacement hydraulic pump for my TX2140 please?
I'll get the fixing PCD and what is written on the back later.
Thanks in advance of any help :)
Since Brexit, many companies won't ship to the UK, perhaps they're one of them.
As you say Tractorpartz can be expensive, Though I spoke to a UK Iseki agent today and their prices were a bit steep.
I have since found out the clutch plate in the Suzuki LJ80 is the same one as used in the Iseki...
Does anyone know if the above pilot bearing is a ball bearing or a needle roller bearing please?
I've been to Biltema, but they no longer list the bearing :(
m and Ebaytime :)
I first order clutchplate , cover and release bearing(throghout bearing) from bestfarm parts.
disc CDI 1427 (this has...
I've seen somewhere in the past, where someone had identified equivalents for the three separate items (clutch plate, thrust bearing and pressure plate). I think Vauxhall was mentioned. Can anyone help me out with information please?
Yes I could use an Iseki dealer, however their prices are a...
Hi Topzide,
I've done conventional tractors before, so familiar with splitting the tractor, however it looks a lot of work to split mine as it has the sub frames and its four wheel drive. So is yours the same?
Thanks
What's the easiest way to change the clutch please? I'm thinking the easiest is probably pull the radiator and move the engine forward. Or is there an easier way? The tractor has a sub frame assembly for the front end loader and rear back actor.
Also... Whats the part numbers for the following...
Hi Chris,
My dumper has a Lister diesel engine. I modified it about 20 years a go, where I fitted a second flywheel on the starting handle side, then fitted an electric starter motor to engage with the second flywheel. The main reason I fitted the electric start, was at that time I had just had...
I thought Iseki and Kubota engines were the same, but they're not, however I'm wondering if the flywheels are the same?
Would someone who has their 3 cylinder diesel engine out, be able to take some dimensions for me please?
Can I have the following dimensions please?;
Outside...
A friend has bought a TL2100 and now trying to find her way around it.
I've not seen this tractor myself, so difficult for me to answer, sorry.
First, what is the right angled lever on the right hand side of the steering column below the key switch please?
Second, does this model have a...
Can anyone supply order codes/part numbers for...
Fan/Alternator belt
Engine oil filter
Engine air filter
Fuel filter (the one in the bowl)
Thanks in advance
Steve
I have an Iseki 2140 with a Polymark front end loader with a self levelling bucket. Has anyone engineered any sort of indicator to give the position of the bucket without having to lean over to look at the side of the bucket?
Thanks for any useful ideas :)
I saw an advert somewhere in the UK for someone who made replacement ride on garden mower decks with choice of outlets (side or back) and galvanised. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Thanks
Photo is of the OEM deck
Hi Chris,
I have the same set up as you, though the smaller 2140 with same front loader and back hoe.
I also see you too have twin rear wheels. In my case they were fitted by the previous owner. I've never liked wheel spacers and thought about removing my twinsies, but thought the halfshafts...
You may have seen my other post wanting a rear halfshaft or two and one has snapped, so the other may be on its way out.
I suspect I'll work it out one I start getting my fingers dirty, but a heads up will be helpful please. Most halfshafts I've worked on, are held in place with a collar behind...
Hi Guy's
Anyone know what max pressure I should be getting on the hydraulics please?
My FEL and rear arms are not the strongest, so have fitted a gauge to see what pressure I'm getting (can't remember at present, so update later).
As far as I'm aware, I think my hours meter has already...
I'm slowly getting around to registering my Iseki TX2140 for road legal use, so the Driving Licensing Authority are going to want numbers to create a registration document. I have found the frame/chassis number on the silver label by the gear stick (shifter), so to avoid taking all the guards...
I appreciate the rounded back can be an issue, the way I over come the curve is to use strips of flat and weld them all together.
The radial lines are just to emphasise the flats on the curve. The flats are obviously the width of available stock.
I've seen a number of bucket designs by fellow members, many seem to be of an angular design. This has got me thinking, as I've always made mine with a rounded back and flat top as shown in the image below
My reasoning for the flat top is that its then easy to see the bucket is flat and ready...
I'm wondering what other owners experiences are with starting their Iseki.
Mine has the three cylinder Mitsi engine. I have to pre-heat for around 20 seconds before turning the engine over (ambient temperature is usually around 10 degrees centigrade). Anything shorter, it doesn't really want to...
Re Linear Actuators.
I fabricated a 3pt linkage type arrangement on the back of my garden mower to attach my rotovator/tiller on. Unfortunately it would lower fine, but struggled to lift. What I did to solve the issue was to fit a pair of large pull springs (I think they were originally used on...
Hi,
Lovely project.
Looking at your Suzuki axles, I built a 4 x 4 x 4 years ago using two Suzuki front axles. If your looking to have a narrow track, you could have used two front axles, but chop them down to use two short halfshafts. Instead of using a transfer box, you could use the engine...
I finally got round to fitting the steering column extension today.
Just a quick recap first. Basically after doing the above seat modifications, the steering wheel was between my knees, so made it difficult to turn round to see what was going on behind me, let alone steer the tractor with any...
These tractors were clearly designed for little people!
Having slipped off the step, grabbing the first thing handy (gear lever) and almost getting squashed by my own tractor lurching forward (thankfully in low box), I thought it was time to sort the inadequate steps out, so here's the result...
Hi Steve,
Great project.
On your bench you have this power saw..
We don't seem to have anything like that in the UK and I can see many uses for it, an probably cheaper to use than a 9" disc cutter. Can you who makes them and what model you have, or some links to similar on line please...
Now got all the bits to do a pressure test on the hydraulic pump and found some time to do the test.
Just to recap, I carried out a pressure test on the FEL by splitting the 'up' line and inserting a gauge as shown in the photo below;
The above test showed a max pressure of around 1500psi...
Hi Mitch,
The MF sleeve is too big as its for an inch and one eight (1-1/8") where as our shaft is one inch (1"). The shaft is quite simple as shown below
So using an adaptor pto shaft with a more common sized spline I'll machine up a complete new shaft, or at least that's the plan today, just...
I took the outer wheel off last weekend to fill the tyres with ballast, so managed to get a photo.
I thought the hex sections were solid, however they seem to be hollow hex tubes with end caps welded on.
Well... I've stripped hydraulic manifold off the side of the gearbox as shown in the photo below
Well the block is just a manifold, nothing more. looking down the holes on the side of the gearbox, there are no screws, all you can see is a port drilled off to the side and the bottom of a...
I started a thread in the wrong place by mistake, so this is a redirect to it http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/hydraulics/248248-pressure-releif-valve-front-loader-2.html
Basically I think my hydraulics are under pressuure, but I'm struggling getting suitable informaion as my workshop manual...
Below is a photo I took some time a go. I've taken 'D' out which is a prv, however now that I've got a manual (very basic on hydraulic info) it appears this may be a safety valve at the end of the hydraulic cylinder for the 3 pt linkage. 'A' controls the rate at which the 3 pt linkage raises and...
On the back of my back of my Iseki I have a back actor/hoe that was made by Polymark (sussex) ltd, in the UK. The tractor has only just achieved 200 hours, so the back actor will be less and the tractor came with a rotavator.
Anyway, looking around it over the weekend as I was doing some...
Hi Guy's,
Clearly these lovely tractors are designed for little people!
Yesterday I fitted a new 'sprung' seat to my TX2140 which is about 6-8" higher than the original. Having the seat higher than original was done on purpose as (being a tall guy) my knees were up by my ears (just kidding)...
In a different thread, some guys have been asking about my dual wheel adaptors, so I thought I'd post some photos showing the actual design.
The following is a basic 3D image of the adaptor
View end on
View side on
The adaptors have been made from 70mm (2.75") A/F hex bar, chopped off...
Hi Dave,
The knob you've labelled is for a hydraulic take off on the back of the tractor, in my case not connected. I've arrowed a flow control valve knob (A) which controls the rate at which the 3 point link arm raise and lower. B and C are the hydraulic hoses which go to the front end loader...
Can sks tell me where the machine data plate is on my Iseki tx2140 please?
I've had a quick look around (its pouring with rain, so didn't hang around), but could not see anything obvious and there's no indication in the owners hand book.
Hopefully it will give the machine serial number etc. so...
Okay, this may seem a stupid question to ask, so let me explain first. Its a new machine to me, its currently fitted with a back actor (rear end digger) with a hydraulic pump fitted to the rear PTO shaft so I can't see the actual PTO shaft as the pump drive coupling is push home. Also its...
Hi Guy's,
Without spending a fortune, is there any TX2140 workshop manuals available, preferably on CD?
At present I'm wishing to identify the parts (PRV etc.) in the hydraulics feeding the front loader.
Thanks in advance
Hi guy's,
I'm the new owner of an Iseki 2140, so trying to workout where everything is.
I'm looking for the locations of the pressure relief valves on the hydraulics for my front loader. I've found the PRV on the control spool valve, however there must be another on the tractor somewhere, can...
