Those all look like decent units. One thing to think about is switching between boom and hand held sprayer. You will want to be able to shut off the flow to the boom while you walk around using the hand sprayer. Otherwise your boom nozzles will continue spraying product in a single location...

Yep, I have seen those styles of spool as well. I know this spool has to come out from the bottom, which means removing the valve assembly and laying it over with the hoses still connected. Pull the cap off and slide out the damaged spool. Should not take too long to do. B.
