    Price Check  Long 610

A gentleman in my area is selling a Long 610. It looks to be in pretty good shape from the pics on the internet. Has 1095 hours on it. I don't know a thing about these tractors but it looks good and would be a nice jump (almost double) in horsepower from my current tractor. Can someone tell me a...

    Expanding the apiary

I recently added two more hives to my backyard apiary, now totaling 5. The more I'm around the bees the more I find myself wanting to get more of them. They are intriguing little creatures and you dang sure won't find a harder worker! I'm sure they will enjoy the huge garden I planted this year.

    The Morels Have Arrived

Tough hunting today, only found ten with this being the nicest one. We need some more rain for it to really start getting good, it's just been too dry.

    The Morels Have Arrived

Here are some more to reference. They are hollow and when you split them open the inside is as white as cotton. Around here they are gray or yellow. Some areas have a darker black type. We find our along creek banks where there is old elms, river birches, cottonwoods, and sycamores.

    The Morels Have Arrived

It's that time of year again! My favorite fungi is making its return to the forest. It's been tough hunting with the few rains we've had, but we are up to a couple pounds so far. I know there are more pickers out there besides me on here so let's see some more pics!

    so who hunts.

Lookin good! Here is one of my favorite hunting trips. Me and two of my buddies our junior year of high school after a day chasing bunnies. It spit sleet and snow all day but the dogs stayed locked down. 8 rabbits and 1 was silver colored, only one I've ever seen like it.

    Critters captured on camera

Here was my little fox squirrel that I rehabbed last spring, his name is Scratch. I planned on keeping him but he found some other squirrels around the house and left. I only had him for 6 months, but he was my favorite critter that I've raised. He was a riot! Always gettin into something he...

    Bow Hunters

I'm sending this picture from the tree stand. Just had this 8 point walk by at less than 20 yards. Looked him over real and decided to let him walk. Now there's a spike moving in on me. At least I'm seeing something! I've been coming up empty all year.

    Bow Hunters

What a beautiful morning to be in the tree in north central OK! It's 37 degrees with absolutely no wind whatsoever. Still coming up empty so far this year. My uncle did tag out on the opening day of muzzleloader yesterday, so my hopes are high! I attached a photo of his harvest in case y'all...

Do we have any bow hunters in here? And it doesn't have to be just bow hunting deer, it can be anything. And if you are what kind of bow do you shoot? Thanks in advance!

    Honey harvest #2

On the 4th of July we collected honey from our hives for the very first time. The first hive yielded a little over 1.5 gallons, the second had none to take when we went inside. After hearing another local beekeeper had harvested again I decided to see if my hives were ready for collecting again...

    Critters captured on camera

We have timber rattlers around here. I've probably killed 3 this year. Biggest was about 4 1/2 ft. The one pictured was killed around the first of July, only about 3 ft.

    Bee hive

I took a few close-up pics of one of my hives. I love watching these little guys do their thing, they are truly the hardest workers out there! The second pic was a lucky shot of a bee on a blooming crepe myrtle. Oh yeah, they make a tasty end product as well!

    Cedar Fence

I still think yours looks sharp! Here are some whole cedar logs we used as pillars when we remodeled our house. It's been about 2 years now and the skin has held on better than I thought it would, I kinda figured it would dry up and peel off.

Really surprised how well this picture turned out with my iPhone. I saw some of my honey bees working over some crepe myrtles that are blooming beside the barn and decided to snap some pics. I really like the picture of the bee in flight. Figured it would have been blurry with him moving so much.

Here's a close-up of a timber rattlesnake found on the road less than a mile from the house. We see a handful of them on our road every summer, but never have seen one while working in the pasture or anything...not that I'm complaining! I love the patterns on their back, cool lookin little...

    The '68

Here are a few pics of my 1968 John Deere 820. The front end bucket was modified from another tractor for moving dirt and gravel. It also came with the 4ft brush hog. It's the first tractor that I've had and have fallen in love with it! I don't know much about tractors but I'm trying to learn...

    John Deere 820 PTO

I recently had some hydraulic questions about my 820 and received some good advice so lets try it again. Today I was doing some brush hogging and everything was going great. However when I went to disengage the PTO, it would not work. The lever moves fine, but there isn't that little bit of...

    John Deere 820 hydraulics

I am fairly new to the tractor scene, but have learned a few things about them since I now have one. I have a 1968 John Deere 820 that runs great. I've recently changed a bent drag link and one of the steel hydraulic lines. Like I said, after those repairs the thing has run great. But when I...
