    Older Yanmar Tiller Questions

I managed to get my hands on a 40" Yanmar tiller from a friend whose father passed away. It was left outside for years since it was last used. Upon initial inspection, it appears it still functions. Even has a few new tines in it as indicated by some new hardware bolting them in. The Tines...

Thank you for all the feedback. Will call around and see what’s available in my area.

    Driveway Ideas?

I’m looking for ideas on what to with my driveway. It’s not very long and I recently double the width of it; adding a stone wall and bringing in several triaxle of fill. The full is almost claylike and bit of a problem as it can get squish. The stone I have helps and I’m looking to add more...

How many tractors in your neighborhood?

Curious to see how many of you have neighbors with a tractor? Or how many tractors exist in your neighborhood? We all talk to each other on here as if we were all neighbors sort of speak because we all share a common interest in owning a piece of equipment. However, it seems most everyone I...

    Delivering hay pics & stories

I should note, my town does virtually no plowing. It's all contracted out. This is the other thing I'm contemplating. Someone has it figured out. This was just now. Contractor with a simple dually setup, concrete weight, newer plow and likely billing out at some outrageous rate. However...

    Good morning!!!!

Put a bird feeder up for my son to watch and learn about birds. I find myself starring out the window every morning now with my coffee watching the various species interact.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

Let me see if I can help answer a few more of your questions. - if the plow looks like the one here. You’d probably fine. Those cylinders aren’t any different than a grapple or truck mounted plow. - yes you would require a 3rd function but just one not two. Summit Husraulics has the...

    Another "Underslung" Story

Might as well keep this thread going. After looking everything over and considering various scenarios, I realized I had a problem with my design. Comparing my build to CHIM's it quickly became apparent, his ability to apply down pressure was almost a must have. Everyone has a need to back drag...

Forks For Moving Bush >> Need Ideas

I built a set out of scrap 1"x2" box steel (as did someone else who chimed in here). They bolted on the bucket just like the image below. For the tips, I cut a steep angle on the 1" side of the steel and used a sledge hammer to bend the top plate down creating a sloped tip. Then just welded...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

I've been waiting to post in here until I finished my plow build. We got close to 12" and that was enough for me to put her to use before painting the last frame member. That can wait till spring! I'm crossing my fingers because I assembled this late night, mid storm and only had one hiccup...

    Another "Underslung" Story

Here's the complete rig. The plow being as heavy as it is, I'm happy to have the Carryall on the back as it's heavier than it looks and provides just enough ballast. Helps when I put the snowblower in it too to clean up my elderly neighbors walkways :)

    Another "Underslung" Story

A few more photos. Thank you Kenny. I'm far from an expert on "plowing". If I sourced a smaller (lighter plow) I could've considered a frame mount. I won't lie though, the research required to do what I did was readily available on here and I came across it and never contemplated a frame...

    Another "Underslung" Story

The build took me a little while longer as I spent time researching a good method to wire in lights and 3rd function valve. In the end, I wired in a relay with a new fuse block just to the side of the battery. Fab'd a bracket to hold the two so it doesn't interfere with the hood.

    Another "Underslung" Story

I thought I'd follow suit and post my Underslung Plow Build. Reading threads about this, I found several other builds that were extremely helpful in planning my build. So before I begin with my post, I think itç—´ prudent to give credit to those folks here: GORDONGOULD...

Hauling tractor on U-haul car carrier trailer

I agree with most all of you. I don’t think I’d ever attempt this not knowing what the trailers condition/history was for a tractor of any substantial size. It is interesting to note however, uhaul website must have some allowance or liability coverage for tractors because it’s an option on...

    Adding electrical devices to tractor

Here's photos of my install. - You can't see the waterproof relay, but it's on the backside of the fuse box mount. The shiny 5/16 nut is holding it. - I've since added a bit of heat shrink over the white to red "trigger wire" connection so it doesn't short itself out. - I have yet to test the...

Security & Theft What size tarp

Solid choice. I’ve run those shelters twice in my lifetime. First one last 4 years but had a second one right next to it. The second one only lasted two years in a wide open space. In case someone else comes across this post, I’ll second what someone else said, avoid standard tarps unless you...

    COVID-19 DIY Build Time

Nice job. Looks like a fun project! With an underslung plow build underway and waiting on hydraulic parts, I decided to build a carryall for a little bit of counter weight and to carry my snowblower for a few sidewalk jobs in the neighborhood. Just used some steel ninjas laying around and most...

    Kubota L3200 3rd Function Install Help/Questions

Hello. I知 looking to add a 3rd function valve to my L3200 to control a grapple and plow. I have a slew of questions that I know can be answered by you fine folks. Most people say the installation is pretty easy. I do my own wrenching on vehicles to the extent, I have my own car lift...

Looking for advice on snow removal attachments

I currently own an L3200 Kubota with standard 5 1/2' FEL on the front. I have a retired couple living across the street from me that's asked me to start plowing their driveway. It's rather hard to say no when you have a tractor. You all get it. My driveway is the polar opposite. Mine is...
