Will they ever return to "the office"?

Plenty of rural land is available. It is always more expensive the closer you are to major metropolitan areas. Get away from the east coast and west coast to more middle America and you can find more available and remote areas. I measure remoteness as distance from the nearest Walmart. In my...

For snow removal, has anyone ever used Land Pride's TB25 Series front-mounted Trip Edge Blades on their quick attach Kubota. (My Kubota is an L4240.) The blade comes in an 8 footer as well as a 9 footer. Looking at buying one for the next snow season.

    RTV900, Remote fuel filter kit

Has anyone installed the Kubota auxiliary fuel filter kit which replaces the in-line fuel filter with a screw-on type cartridge within a separate filter housing? If so, my question is how did you get to the bottom of the fuel tank to replace the fuel hose with the longer fuel hose that's...

    Winch mount, RTV 900

I just purchased the Kubota V4254 winch mount kit which came from Kubota with absolutely no instructions as to what kind of winch, how big of a winch and, most importantly, how to install the kit with a winch. [I've not yet bought a winch, but purchased the kit on-line with a bunch of...

    Bucket mount post hole digger

Anyone ever used one of these? Advantage seems to be you can get a lot of down prssure on the implement as opposed to the typical 3-point hitch mount. Also, can reverse the auger. Only need hydraulics to the front to run the ph digger's hydraulic motor. Comments???

    Hooking up my bushhog

Another of those messages on hooking up an attachment. In hooking up and adjusting my bushhog, should it be resting with pretty much half the weight on the single tail wheel or should more than half of the weight be on the 3PH? Or, should almost all the weight be on the 3PH and the tail wheel...

    How much is what?

I've seen folks on this forum talk about their 10 acre ranch, their 27 acre ranch and so on. My question is just how much land really can be called a ranch? I'm used to the word ranch being used, maybe when you're talking about 50,000 acres or more like 100,000 acres and up. Parcels under...

    Kubota oil

The operator's manual for my L4240 (actually the manual covers all models from L3240 through L5740) calls for a straight 10W, 20W or 30W or a multiweight 10W-30 or 10W-40; CD CE or CF classification. Yet, when I walk into my Kubota dealer's shop, he carries and wants to sell me a Kubota-branded...

I just put on order the Millonzi 60 inch light duty root grapple. I will use it to clean up a bunch of dead and down pinon pine on my land. I've been cutting firewood out of it for 2 years and have many piles of slash all over. I plan to move the slash and other dead trees/downed logs and so...

Grand L40 - Auto Throttle Advance

I just bought an L4240. All of the L40's have the new Auto Throttle Advance feature. I'm wondering (for those with the L40 series) who leaves the Auto Throttle Advance on continuously, who switches back and forth to the regular manual throttle and who uses the manual throttle mainly? So far...

Best way to get rid of brush

I've got approx 25 - 30 acres that's got a lot of beetle-kill pinon pine on it. I've been cutting the trees for firewood and selling it off in the fall and winter. As I cut and clear in an area I pile up by hand all the small stuff which is usually anything under 2- 3 inches in diameter. I...

    Dead and down Pinion, recommendation

I have 40 acres to clean up of beetle-kill Pinon, where the Pinon has mostly fallen. This piece of land falls off from about 7,300 feet to 7,100 feet in a little over 800 feet, so its not terribly steep with a large arroyo running through it. It runs better than 2,000 feet in length. The land...
