    New Bush Hog - help!

Looking at different new bush hogs and need help deciding. I cut several fields but all grass. No saplings or anything thicker than Johnson grass. Around 10 acres but far from flat. One is a lighter weight Agri X. That's what I'm leaning towards. Anyone have any experience with it? Far as...

    Outside firewood storage

I don't burn a lot of firewood. We've got gas heat and mild winters. But had several trees blow down recently and now I've got the wood cut and split. I've never had to leave wood outside before but just don't have any place else to put it. I've got it stacked on top of cedar logs to keep the...

    Two loader functions

Now that I have a grapple, I'm bothered more by not being able to do two loader functions at the same time. For instance, curl and lift at the same time. My dealer said there is a very narrow "window" on the joystick control where that can be done. I haven't found it! Have you?

    How much ballast

It's become apparent that I need some ballast on the back of my tractor as I now have a grapple I'm using. The question is, how much ballast? My tractor is a Branson 3725. 37hp and just over 4000 #'s dry weight. What would you suggest? I plan to use a carryall and put the weight in a 55 drum.

Forward to reverse while moving w hydro

I have an imperfect understanding of transmission with a hydro drive. Basically once I've said swash plate - I'm done! I was bush hogging a steep bit by backing up the hill then heading down, rinse and repeat. Am I doing any damage by going directly to reverse while still moving forward slowly...

    VR Long Third Function Install

OK - wanted to give an update on the install. All done now and very pleased with the final result. In general (very general!) it is pretty straightforward. But I do have a few nits to pick. First, I don't understand WR Long's distribution model. I first called them to order. They only work...

Fuse tap on turn signal fuse

I need to add a powered accessory and need a hot wire. I will use a fuse tap to get the power I need. Question is, which fuse slot should I use? I would like it to be an switched fuse that only supplies power when the tractor is running. The blinker fuse is most convenient but I'm wondering...

    VR Long Third Function Install

Got my kit today and while it seems fairly straight forward, I've got a couple of questions. Installing this on a 3725h and a BL25R loader. Has anyone put this kit on this loader? The first issue is that I'm not sure they gave me the right mounting bracket. If I put it one way when I raise...

    Power Beyond 3725

I'm installing a WR Long third function kit and need to ID the power beyond port. I do have a backhoe Branson hose "kit" installed but I don't think that makes a difference. I was told to trace the hose that goes back to the rear of the tractor. Photo show both ends of the hose I believe is...

Ag vs flat face on grapple

I'm going to add a grapple to my tractor and so can specify what couplers to use. I'm thinking flat face since easier to clean and fits more skid steer accessories if I ever buy/rent anything. I'll need to add a third function as well so will be easy enough to get same fittings. But, don't...

    Good asking price backhoe attachment

I'm thinking of selling my backhoe. It's a Branson 86 and fits my 3725. New, I paid $6200 for it. Very little use and looks new. What would you think a fair price would be? And, I know the market is limited (being somewhat tractor specific) so any ideas on how to find a buyer?

Do you run two stroke carbs dry?

    RTV 500 Hand Brake Adjustment

    Now electric issue

Not my weekend! Ran the tractor pretty hard Saturday with lots of stop/starts moving and cutting up a huge hickory tree that came down in a recent storm. At the end of the day, when I went to start it, I heard a rapid clicking sound and the nothing. Nothing shows on the panel when I turn the...

Anyone know the OEM part number for an oil filter for a 3725? My dealer just sold me one that is about half the height of the one he sold me for the 50 hour initial service. The one he just sold me is EA00004647A. Of course the one that's on the tractor now is turned so you can't see any...

    RTV 500 parking brake adjustment

It's probably simpler than I'm making it out to be (most things are for me!), can anyone tell me how to adjust the parking brake? Thinking it's the cable. Brakes work fine with the pedal. When I pull the parking brake lever all the way up the brake isn't set very firmly.

    Backhoe Stabilizers, How To

I was watching an Air Force training video on backhoe ops (what can I say, it's an exciting life i know!) and they made a point of using the stabilizers to lift the back tires completely clear of the ground. The reason they gave was "it saves the tires and suspension". Can't argue that. If they...
