I got a thumbnail sized UV light with some reading glasses I bought. It came with a UV sensitive card as well. It shows how effective the glasses are in filtering "BLUE" light. The small UV light is very bright but eats up it's battery pretty quick. It's still fun to play with. :cool:

I don't see a hint of square tubing in your example. I see round, channel and flats. Simple job to copy. Keep it simple. Your welds will be the weak points. Drill pipe will be stronger than square tubing.

In the worst case, a total loss of lubricity. Depending on the makeup of the greases, it can turn to hardened clay and not release any of the oils or the oils all run out. The lubrication properties are lost in either case.

Yes, but that can happen with any air cooled engine with valve guides. And that issue doesn't fix itself when the engine cools down to run another 20 minutes. It also causes a flat-out miss or no-start condition not a surging problem.

Looks like you have an open center valve and no power beyond. The two lines with arrows need to be connected together. They are different sizes so some adapters or a made-up hose is needed.
