    Comparing tractor engines and HP

I tried mulching a couple times in the past, when the tree's were smaller with my Gravely ZT2148. Mulching at 18,500 rpm still left a mess so now that the tree's are much larger i just don't see it working. Not aware of any mower faster then that.

    Comparing tractor engines and HP

I wish i could but i would have leave clippings 2 feet deep and i have a pond near by and keeping leaves out is very important so they got to go. I plan on buying a Cyclone Rake XL and want to be sure i get a rider big enough for a load of wet leaves.

    Comparing tractor engines and HP

First off, i have a Kioti CX2510 for my big work. As for my yard, I mow about 2 acres maybe less. I have a Gravely zero turn 48" cut that does just fine. I like to keep that just for mowing. I have a Cub Cadet 21hp and 46" cut for back up, mowing thru the woods and hauling, moving and leave...

    New Guy First Tractor

I bought the Kioti CX2510. I have about 12 hours on it and like it very much. It has the largest engine [100ci] compared to Kubota at 68ci and is the same engine in the 2610 and i think in the 30hp version. The tractor is also the heaviest in its class and has the best ground clearance. And the...

    New Guy First Tractor

The Yanmar is nice but has little ground clearance. One thing to remember about the long Yanmar warranty is you must take it to the dealer every year and pay them what ever they want to charge for an inspection/adjustments to maintain the warranty.

    Tractor weight on soft ground

My question was more of a general question, on soft ground is it better to be light or heavy. I am waiting till it drys out, then i want to clear some brush and till in a couple food plots. Some areas stay soft year round, a few low areas that after a rain, even a few days after, they are soft...

    Tractor weight on soft ground

Why did i ask for loaded rear tires, because in my first post, when shopping i was told on a small tractor weight is king and buying the heaviest tractor is the number 1 consideration. Why did i build the ballast, because even with the loaded tires [about 300lb add] when driving on snow, with...

    Kioti Orange Powder Coat

You were right the first time, i am looking for a brand and/or part number for orange powdercoat to have my brush guard re-powdercoated after the welding. Just checking before i take it in and have them find a color.

    Kioti Orange Powder Coat

Has anyone found a perfect match for Kioti orange powdercoat? I am welding in a piece of expanded metal inside my front grill guard. I see many recommendations to do this before a broken headlight comes along.

    New CX2510!

I have the same CX2510H, picked it up a couple weeks ago. You have the correct seat belt. I am very happy so far, like you, about 10 hours. Congrats. I need to add that 3rd function, does it look hard to add?

    Tractor weight on soft ground

Here is my ballast. $148 for the steel and $50 for some concrete and fiberboard. My 3 point lifts 1200lb so i can still use this to move a trailer with under 800lb tongue weight. Nice and compact.

    Tractor weight on soft ground

I have a Kioti CX2510 with loaded rear tires. It came with a FEL as well. I built a compact 400lb rear ballast. My land is overgrown farm land, about a foot of black dirt then mostly clay. This time of year the water table is close to the surface so the ground is soft but held together with the...

    New Guy First Tractor

Empty bucket it is fine, i do notice on snow more weight would help but the weights will be for a loaded bucket. I made one out of conctrete, came out to 400lb and is compact so moving around it won't take up any more space.

How to run a Diesel Engine

Is the JD 430 air cooled? All air cooled are designed to run full speed so the fan can move enough air across the fins on the engine.

    New Guy First Tractor

Just want to thank everyone for all the good advice. Had my Kioti CX2510 for a few days now and i have been driving it around out back, breaking it in so when warm weather hits, it will be ready to work. It just fits some of the tight corners i have thru the woods so any bigger would have been...

How to run a Diesel Engine

Just picked up a new Kioti CX2510. 24.5hp diesel engine. Never owned a diesel so i need to learn. How do these engines like to be run? The book says when cold, after the glow plug light goes off, start and let idle at low RPM for a few minutes to warm up. This i understand. What i need to know...

    New Guy First Tractor

I am looking at buying my first tractor. After studying them all, and creating spread sheets i still don't know. They all have some good and some items missing. I am looking at the 24.9 HP tractors or so they are called. I live on 10 acres, lightly wooded. Mostly flat as its overgrown farm land...
