    MY 955 GRAPPLE CONVERSION COMPLETE

The springs actually keep the pins up. There are no springs to hold them down. I am thinking of cutting a notch to slide the "handle" in to hold it in place, similat to the top piece that holds it up.

    MY 955 GRAPPLE CONVERSION COMPLETE

I went to the NAPA store and they did not have the fittings I needed. That was a stroke of luck. It appears my hoses are about the correct length for opening and lifting. I got the 54 inch MTL Grapple. It weighs around 350 lbs. I moved a small pile of limbs and stuff and it worked great. I...

    MY 955 GRAPPLE CONVERSION COMPLETE

I had them made long because I did not want them to be too short. I plan to work on that problem today. I will probably go to NAPA and have some short ones made. As far as capacity goes I will find out when the tractor says no. I think it will do what I need though.

    MY 955 GRAPPLE CONVERSION COMPLETE

I finally got my pin on to skid steer conversion finished on my JD 955. I got the mechanism from a guy in New York. I am happy with the way it all worked out. I still need to keep an eye out for hose positioning.

    Pro Works GP3148 48" Grapple

I got my Summit Diverter today and looking for a good place to mount it. I am pretty sure I will need to make a bracket. I ordered a weld on plate for my bucket too. I ordered an MTL Grapple yesterday and it shipped today. It should be here Wednesday. Waiting to hear shipping info on my pin to...

    Pro Works GP3148 48" Grapple

That is the same post I read. I really haven't found much else, but still looking. Several of the grapples I have seen call for them to be delivered to a commercial address. I don't like that.

    Pro Works GP3148 48" Grapple

I found this searching the internet. I saw a bigger one on another forum and the guy was very unhappy with it. He bend it his first time out. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this company. Excellent price if they are any good.

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

Ok all my beer money is gone. Are you guys happy now? Actually I don't drink alcohol anymore. I just ordered the Summit DV50 Kit. That is what they recommended for my 955/70A loader for right at $380. I will still need hoses, but that should not be that much, hopefully. Now the search for a...

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

It is the $550 kit from tractorinnovations.com. The kit from Summit may be a better deal, It has the electric valve and grip and appears to have the hoses as well for $550. I am quickly talking myself into spending lots of money. I do know the Brush Crusher BC4300 is out of the question. I just...

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

Anybody ever use the hydraulic system from Tractor Innovations? It comes with everything needed, including hoses, for rear function or grapple for $550 to the house. The only drawback is it has a mechanical valve. Watching the videos makes me think I would want a longer handle rather the just...

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

My old pastor used to call me cheap. I told him I am frugal. I can get the new electric grapple for $1,700 and it is about 10 miles from my house. I am waiting to see the cost of the Brush Crusher and if any are close to me.

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

I really do appreciate all the info. I have been going over and over in my mind about the Electric Grapple. Someone had mentioned the Brush Crusher as a viable option. I thought they were hydraulic, but of course they are not. I sent a message to Westendorf about cost of their universal skid...

Yes the one I am looking at is the Worksaver. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I now have a 955 now. Maybe Jesus will come before the actuator gets torn to pieces. Thanks for the info.

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

I wasn't looking for comparisons to hydraulics. I was looking for helpful comments about the electric grapples on the market. Thanks for the opinions, but I plan to stay with the electric grapple.

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

Cost would totally depend upon which one will do what you need it to do. There is also the cost for the 3rd function kit as well as time/cost needed to install the kit. If you were using the grapple continually a hydraulic grapple, I am sure, would be the way to go. In my case the electric...

    ELECTRIC GRAPPLE

I found what I consider to be a good deal on a new Worksaver ESCG-48 Grapple. I was looking to buy a used one, but the guy sold it to someone else. More money maybe? I only have 2 1/2 acres and it will only be used for limbs and smaller tree debree and the like. My 70a Loader conversion should...

    Kubota B2920

I have owned 3 tractors so far in my life. If I live through tomorrow I will have owned 4. I joined this forum to learn from people with experience. I obtained the information I needed to make my decision. If I am to spend my $12,000 it will be for something I am comfortable with. You can do the...

    Kubota B2920

I have decided to not get the 2920 for several reasons. Most all having something to do with the differences in what I am used to. I don't care for the heal/toe operation nor having to stop the tractor to engage the PTO. All things people who own them have gotten used to I am sure. I am thankful...

    Kubota B2920

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. By leveling I am referring to small mounds of dirt. I would want to smooth those out and move the excess to low areas. I had the palmettos mulched and want to remove as much of the left over roots as possible. I have a 5 ft box blade and a 5 ft bush...

    Kubota B2920

I don't have a a great amount of moving and leveling to do. My concern is spending a bunch of money, to me, for something that may work me more than he tractor. The tractor weight and turf tires are the big concern for me. It does come with some weights to add on the back and I could hang my box...

    Kubota B2920

I just can't make my mind up as to what I want to do. I am talking with a guy who has a B2920 with FEL, finish mower and a couple of other small attachments. I may be able to get it for $12,000. Are they heavy enough to do lifting and moving of dirt? I think the big problem may be turf tires. I...

    FEL Model 70 line replacement

My main thought about going to the dealer was in hopes they may have all the specs for making the hoses and lines. I will check with NAPA to see what they have to say. I added my location too. I am located in Middleburg, Fl around Jacksonville.

    FEL Model 70 line replacement

I emailed Koyker to see what they had for my 855. And they said their Model 155 was the one for the 855. I got with our JD dealer to call for a price quote. It would be close to $6,000 after the install by JD. JD install would be anywhere from $200 to $500 depending on how the kit fit and if my...

    FEL Model 70 line replacement

Sadly there isn't enough hose to measure for length or any fittings worth saving. Mine would be a complete replaement. One thing I need to do prior to spending money on new hoses and stuff is to attach it to my tractor to verify fit. I have read some posts about the 70 loader not fitting the 855...

I finally traveled to get the JD Model 70 Loader I purchased around March. I was in hopes the lines and hoses would be in useable condition. Dream on.
