OP, at least look into Homestead grapples. I use a Pinnacle root grapple with a 73hp tractor and it has held up really well. I've picked up tree trunks, pulled sticker vines out of trees, moved logs vines and limbs into stacks to p/u with grapple. Dug out and pulled out a few smaller whole...

Yep. That's a bois d' arc tree (locally pronounced "bowdark"). Can be killer on your chain saw. Slow to rot. A lot of old houses used bois d' arc stumps as piers. Osage Orange, Horse Apple etc Goes by different names depending on what area you're from.

Please listen to leonz. Ditch bank flails are great machines, but drop that cutter head while extended to mow a barrow ditch or steep pond bank, and you'll be surprised how many butt clenching moments that machine will give you if not set up properly. Good luck.
