Yes - that’s the flare nut wrench, but that metal bulge on the line prevents me from getting the wrench onto yhe nut.

Problem is that there is a metal bulge in the hose fitting right in front of the nut, so there’s no way to get the flare nut wrench over the bulge and onto the nut. I have no idea what the purpose of that metal bulge is, other than to possibly strengthen where the fitting connects with the hose.

The initial issue of sputtering and stopping almost sounds like it ran out of fuel, but that wouldn’t explain the electrical issues you are describing. In any event, since you didn’t mention that you have enough fuel, check that. I’m sure you did though…..

I’d check the actual brake pads themselves if you haven’t already. Make sure there’s nothing preventing the pads/brakes from physically engaging completely (debris or done). 2015 is not that old, but I don’t know how much it’s been used. And….to state the obvious, always secure the load.

Tall grass will do that with pretty much any mower. If I run into that, I just mow over that section three or four times in different directions to get it cut down sufficiently.

Since it seems that you done most of the mechanical changes, maybe it has to do with the deck shell itself. If the deck has large dents, or is caked with mud/debris underneath, the air flow may be affected enough to affect the air flow from the blades.

Don’t know the answer, but on my MF1540 the 4wd mechanism at the front axle has a zerk in it that I keep greased, so maybe just make sure that yours is greased if you have a zerk. They can be hard to spot; sometimes have to feel around for them.

Aren’t you still missing the bolt that holds the pin in? The hole is still empty in your last picture. The missing bolt is why the pin backed out to begin with. Check the bolts on sny other pins too to make sure they are tight

After I hook something up like my brush hog, I raise it up so that the mower is about the same height as my leg calf, the I lean against it to try to center it as best as I can and then put the pin in the arm hole. Then I go to the other side and wiggle it a bit and stick the pin in the other arm.

This may be an extremely simplistic suggestion, but maybe the battery is simply bad enough to not work properly (but good enough for cranking, etc). Try a brand new battery, check the connections, etc. Even if that ends up not being the issue, at least it’s been ruled out.

That’s what I would do - change out just the filter(s) unless you think the fluid is contaminated or really old. Doesn’t hurt to change the fluid, of course - just an unnecessary expense.

Fuel restriction somewhere probably. When it happens, take off the fuel tank cap and see what happens; vent may be clogged. Check the fuel filter to make sure it’s clean. Those are the two simple things I’d check first.

Make sure that your continuous hydraulics switch is off if you have one. On my ASV skidsteer, if I leave that switch on (it’s used for the snowblower), the skidsteer will act like it’s dead. Luckily I’ve done it enough times now that I know what is going on as soon as it happens.

Check to see if your fuel filter is cloudy. If it is, your filter is probably gelled. Enough fuel would pass through to run the engine, but not enough to rev it much.

Sounds like you both batteries you were trying were used, but re-charged. Batteries can be an enigma, especially when temps are colder than normal. If it were me, I’d buy a brand new battery tomorrow and see if that fixes everything. Worst case, you have an extra battery (or return it).

I had some wet spots in my field that would never dry up, so when brush hogging, I would step on the differential lock as I was coming up to it so that the rears were locked by the time I got into it.
