Take the fuel line off, say right before the filter, turn the key on and you’ll know if it’s working. That’s also a good way to check for a plugged outlet in the tank.

25hp is plenty depending on the tractor. Mine is a smaller compact so 25 hp is all it needs. I can see the larger ones being a little low on hp but it all depends on how you use it.

I think the funny looking threads are suppose to be that way, it lets you know when it’s unscrewed most of the way.

I looked at the Dewalt splitter on the Home Depot site. It looks similar to a gas powered but with batteries. It looks decent, curious about the speed and battery life. The price seems high to me at over $2k.

I’ve had positive results on Marketplace, both selling and buying. A lot of the stuff I sell is cheap, $20 items although I’ve sold maybe $500 items. Maybe the most expensive I’ve bought is $800. The key is just to meet face to face. After a while you learn the serious buyers.

When noodling it helps to pull the saw out and let it clean itself out once in a while. Once in a while I’d have to shut the saw down and clean out noodles. I haven’t noodled since I got a splitter that went vertical.

I’ve noodled large rounds in the past and also lifted them on my splitter with FEL bucket. Noodling does go fast but probably what worked out the best is I got a splitter that goes vertical and just roll or walk the large rounds into the splitter.

I’ve never had a problem with Stabil. I’ve only had a couple of small engines with fuel problems. Both cases had definite fuel issues. Both cases low fuel levels in a gas tank stored for more than 6 months with ethanol fuel.

Biodiesel has the best lubrication qualities but yes it is also the first to gel up. Given a choice I like to run pure diesel but the only way to get it is off road. I can get that from a friend on occasion.

All or almost all coal power plants have scrubbers on them. They also burn low sulfur coal or a blend of high and low sulfur coal. I’m not saying the smokestack is clean but much better then it used to be.

If you look at that study, biodiesel had the best lubrication quality’s.

This an old study, some makers may or may not made changes. It’s still valid in a lot of ways. For example an old stand by, Marvels Mystery oil, not so good.

You can store that tractor at my place Arly. It’ll have to sit outside though I doubt it would be low enough to fit in my shop. In all seriousness it can sit outside for a winter. It looks like a great place, if it all works I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

I’ve run both but mostly hst. The gear tractor I ran I remember thinking this isn’t so hard but I was also discing a field a running a cultipacker on an open field and just turning around at the end. I think most people are going to prefer an hst for most homeowner type use.

Some led bulbs are cheap and flicker.

I’m glad you got it out but how many people will not read all the replies and keep telling you how to get it out.

I assume you have changed fuel filter of filters. Some have two. I’d check and make sure fuel gravities out of a fuel line near the main injector pump. Sometimes something floats into the fuel outlet in the tank. Once you eliminate that it’s the main injector pump, the injectors or something...

I’d probably just leave them as logs and cut and split them after you’ve burned some. No scientific reason it’s just what I’d do.

Often when the FEL acts wonky it’s one of the quick connects not seated correctly. It will look ok and feel ok but taking them off and reconnecting will fix it.
