    Take the fuel line off, say right before the filter, turn the key on and you’ll know if it’s working. That’s also a good way to check for a plugged outlet in the tank.

    I looked at the Dewalt splitter on the Home Depot site. It looks similar to a gas powered but with batteries. It looks decent, curious about the speed and battery life. The price seems high to me at over $2k.

    I’ve had positive results on Marketplace, both selling and buying. A lot of the stuff I sell is cheap, $20 items although I’ve sold maybe $500 items. Maybe the most expensive I’ve bought is $800. The key is just to meet face to face. After a while you learn the serious buyers.

    Stabil in the mix?

    I’ve never had a problem with Stabil. I’ve only had a couple of small engines with fuel problems. Both cases had definite fuel issues. Both cases low fuel levels in a gas tank stored for more than 6 months with ethanol fuel.

    Biodiesel has the best lubrication qualities but yes it is also the first to gel up. Given a choice I like to run pure diesel but the only way to get it is off road. I can get that from a friend on occasion.

    A fuse for a lift pump might keep it from starting. A diesel with good compression will start without glow plugs or a heater grid but they do help.

    I’ve run both but mostly hst. The gear tractor I ran I remember thinking this isn’t so hard but I was also discing a field a running a cultipacker on an open field and just turning around at the end. I think most people are going to prefer an hst for most homeowner type use.

    BX2380 Hydraulic Flush needed?

    Often when the FEL acts wonky it’s one of the quick connects not seated correctly. It will look ok and feel ok but taking them off and reconnecting will fix it.
