Backhoe B26 TLB switching from Cat to Deer controls (ISO to SAE)

I just got a B26 last fall after selling my L4350. I noticed right away the front track was very narrow. I converted some 12x8.5 rims to the Kubota bolt pattern and accomplished 2 things at once. It gave me a wider tire 23 x 10.50 x 12 (6ply AG tread) option and increased the front track...

    Garlic from China. What gives?

I grow garlic. Recently visited relatives in Toronto Ontario and was informed that the supermarkets have gone to China Garlic because the consumer shops by the dollar and not quality. This is the largest garlic I grew last year. I grow all hard neck varieties and unlike "supermarket"...

    Garlic growing tips

I also grow garlic, I don't water, had the driest year since I started and also had the largest overall bulb size ever. The pic is the biggest of the crop, 7oz. and over 3" in diameter, chesnok variety. I grow hardneck varieties exclusively for now. I have 3200+ in the ground and have...

    Aggressive black bees?

Found this while walking through my orchard. Right at head level, could of been disastrous. Bald faced hornets ARE VERY MEAN! Use caution when eradicating. Brake cleaner with a high volume nozzle does well. I just got rid of a smaller nest by going out at night and mechanically removing and...

    Comparison  B26TLB vs. B7800

While contemplating downsizing/consolidating I ran into the B26TLB. I was impressed by the loader capacities and the backhoe digging depth/height. I did not see that Kubota had not included the HST+ as in the L45TLB and wondered, why not? The 3 PT Lift was the same, Engine/PTO HP more for...

    Kubota mid-mount pto shaft

I'm wondering if anyone here might have an old mid-mount PTO shaft that would fit a B7800. Only the end that hooks to the tractor's PTO shaft need be good. I have an idea for a project that requires this. Can anyone help?

Just wanted peoples opinions on their preference and why. I have adjustable forks on my 3PH and don't adjust them that often. A pallet jack is not adjustable and there are a bazillion of those around. Just curious.:anyone:

    Increase dump angle

I am dissatisfied with the angle on my dump trailer, another 15 degrees and everything would come out when I dump all the time. I have found a set of longer cylinders and have the room to install them if I modify the undercarriage. Anyone do this?

Loader  traditional VS. self leveling Loader

I had my first taste of a self leveling loader the other day while testing some bucket mounts on a John Deere tractor. I understand the concept but was quickly dissuaded from wanting one. It actually stalled the loader in some bucket positions while lifting. Does anyone else feel this way...

    Self made attachments

What is the best attachment you have ever made for your tractor? There seems to be an attachment for everything, but yet somehow it just doesn't do what we want it to do so we modify or build from new something that serves our purpose somehow a little bit better. I have made a few that serve...

Dealer  what a difference a few miles makes!

I was researching the John Deere Q/A mounting system and called the local dealer who told me the pins and brackets were not available. I had been there before and did not feel particularly welcome. I called the next closest dealer and within 2 minutes had the part numbers and the quantity...

Comparison  John Deere 4000 series ?'s

As I understand it the 4120, 4320, 4520 & 4720 have the same frame and the same engine with the only difference being software for the horsepower increases. Engine displacement, hydraulic pump size and 3PT lift are the same for all 4 models. If that is the only difference then that is some...

My tractors helped me out today

What started out as a simple day of hauling material ended in quite a finale. Loaded the B7800 up in the 12' dump trailer to 1st load wood chunks I bird dogged out of a pile of brush to be burnt and a bit farther down the road bring back a pile of horse manure that was saved for me to haul. Got...

Pin on vs. Q/A Survey for FEL

Lots of debate on this issue. Q/A is much easier to change attachments with, that is why it was developed. It does move your attachment out a few inches from where a pin on attachment would go. This can affect breakout force, etc. I would like to see where the TBN family is related to this...

    Roll forward Bucket stops

I am in the process of putting a different pin on bucket on my big Kubota, Here is an opening for all you Q/A advocates! and had to do some serious planning for making sure the bucket stops came into play at the right moment. When looking at my LA402 loader on my B7800 I noticed that it is...

    throttle lever survey

So on my L4350 pushing the throttle lever forward increases engine rpm's and on my B7800 pulling it back increases engine rpm's. When did they change that or is it a model difference? Personally I like the forward/go and back/stop variation the best.

    Tractor step

Had no step on the right side of my tractor. Finally got around to making one. Actually made one for each side as will replace the almost unusable one on the left side next. I modified the throttle lever to facilitate easier ingress/egress on the right side. Bracket is 1/4" material which I...

Front-End Loader  B7800 and loader buddy

I was out roto-tilling a few gardens today with my Agric 65 tiller. On the third job the customer pointed to a 6" stump with what looked like last years growth on it and wondered if I could get it out. I just got my B7800 last year and was impressed the way it handled the tiller. Normally I...

    B7800 engine kills

I have had my B7800 for about 9 months now. Probably only 20 hrs. more than when I got it. Was using it today in the garden and it would just kill. Sometimes just a little and sometimes to a stop. It would start right up. Before I get all the manuals out and start the painstaking process of...

    loader numbering changes

I was at the Kubota dealer yesterday checking out the B3200 w/LA504 loader. I commented to the sales rep about the number and the lift capacity being so much more than the LA402. His reply was there no difference because Kubota had changed how they designate loaders. Now it is calculated at...
