What type of oil is used in the front axle of the JD 4000 series tractors? The manual shows Hygard oil that meets the J20D standard. Is this the standard JD Hygard low-viscosity hydraulic oil? Thanks. Steve

I was told by John Deere that in a couple of years they may start offering factory installed cabs on the John Deere 4000 series compacts.That would be great especially if that had factory installed A/C.

Go look at the Kubotas and look at the way they bolt there wheels on,that is the solution in my opinion.They use lock washers on each lug nut and 2 of the wheel studs are installed from the back side (inside out) and nutted on the outside providing a positive lock.

Anyone ever had or heard problems with the JD 4000 series wheel bolts staying tight? If so, or you know of any posts of people having problems please let me know. Thanks
