Well I reached the 1000 hour mark today on my BX-22. I looked down just in time to see it turn, so I shut her down & ran in to get my camera. Lots of bruises & scrapes on it now, looks very used, which it is. I bought it new April 25, 2003, so it's not quite 5 years old.

Have you had any problems in the last 1000 hrs? With your bx

Congratulations!

I like your hour meter. On my '07 BX24, I have the "improved" digital hour meter that appears for a few seconds when I'm cranking the engine over, then it switches to a tach. I wish Kubota had kept the analog displays. Needless to say, I won't be taking any pictures of my 1,000 hour rollover.

ficord - - I have not had any problems to speak of. At least not any I can blame on the Kubota failing. I could, however, horsewhip the engineer that left the little transmission cooler fan so exposed underneath. After I paid $$ to have that replaced I purchased the Bro-Tek belly shield. The BX-22 was a good match for my needs. I will admit that I sure could have used a larger machine while cleaning up after Katrina.

Compadre - - I didn't know they had changed the display. I wish mine had come with a tach but I don't like the set-you described.

Jack I don't want to be too critical, but I noticed there is some dirt around the hour meter and gas gauge that should be cleaned if you expect to reach 2K on that rig.........congrads! Darn you must be driving that thing around town to put that many hours on it.

They should simply set that to a multi display that programs its own EPROM to user preference. Like the Tiny Tach (that's what I have to supplement a lack of a tach). One might have it default to tach, while another to hours. I especially like the Service alarms and Job timer on the Tiny Tach. Kubota should just build those units in or opt for their own design. Back lit, for one! Hint, hint!
