I have one rear remote on my Kubota and am thinking about getting one of the 12' batwing cutters. A couple of the brands (rhino and landpride) only have one hydraulic line which is optimal for my setup at the moment. Not being familiar with a batwing or the hydraulics, will the 1 remote lever raise everything all at once (lift and wings)? OR, does it lift sequentially (the lift cylinder raise 1st, then the wings 2nd)? In otherwords, if I need to lift the 'hog while going over a rock, when I move the lever, will the wings also come up while it is lifting at the same time?

Thanks!

Should be sequential, mower raises first and then wings.

NOT USUALLY THERE IS ONE FOR LIFT AND ONE FOR WINGS. YOU CAN BUY A MULTIPLER FOR YOUR TRACTOR OUR IF YOU HAVE A BUCKET PLUG ONE INTO THE TILT CONTROLLER OF THE BUCKET AND RUN IT UNHOOKED WHILE MOWING

Use one remote and do two functions with it. Plug the lines in so you can hit float to let everything down. Use the down pressure side for your wings and the up side for the wheel lift funtion. It sounds crazy but it works. I use two remotes and do 3 funtions on my batwing. I can raise each wing seperately and work the wheels.

If you are mowing relatively level fields it should not matter too much. If you are mowing ditches, roadsides, around pond levee, or lots of really sloped/uneven terrain add 2 additional remotes and go with separate function hydraulic cylinders. Just my 2 cents.

With 3 independently operating systems if you have a failure, the problem is easily identified and you will not loose control of the other functions. With dependent functions you first have to trouble shoot to find out the problem and until the problem is repaired settle with either limited or loss of multiple functions.

We have an old woods and wings are both controlled with one lever. It never fails the side we want to raise is always the last to come up off the ground.

I contacted Rhino via their website and the response I got back was that the cutter lifts first, then the wings come up second. That would work fine for me.

I bought a 15' batwing bush hog brand middle of last summer. Ran it with 2 remotes for about a month. If your on anything but flat ground it will slow you down trying to adjust. Bought the extra remote. Money well spent. I don't think you will be happy running it all on one if you have any hills or ditches. But try it, you can always add more remotes.

most places sell a 2 spool kit .. pug it in to your remote.. etc.

not a big deal to fab up out of an 100$ OC 2 spool log splitter valve.. etc..
