10-15 inches headed my way!

My new 1723 with 2360 blower should be getting delivered tomorrow just in time for a BOMB on Monday night through Wednesday morning. They're calling for 10-15, possibly more. I have plenty of experience clearing snow just not with a tractor/blower combo. Unless you folks recommend otherwise, I'm going to let it snow to the max before I tackle the clean up. Is that a bad idea? Should I go out halfway through to keep it manageable? I have no idea how well these blowers perform in the really deep stuff or if it's a bad idea to work it right out of the box without a break in.

I might hit it 2x, You never know could get 2 feet or 2 inches. Wait till there is 6 to 8 then wait till the storm is over......

Just run it at the correct rpm and creep through it. You will be able to sense when your pushing too fast.

I've had a big Honda track machine for probably 15 years so I'm pretty familiar with the relationship between ground speed, snow density and engine RPM. I definitely plan to take it easy until I get to know the machine. My entire driveway is paved so that's even less to worry about.

Since you seem to have quite a bit of previous experience and a paved driveway I don’t think you should have much to worry about. Congratulations on the new equipment !

If it's going to be wet heavy snow you may want to clear half the storm depending on how many inches.

I am quite far East of the OP, and on the edge of a very large salt water bay.
Snowing hard now, but not much accumulation yet.
Never have needed a blower here.

Just put my new "Edge Tamers" on, to keep the bucket edge up off the shell driveway.
If not more than 4" or 5" accumulation, I won't bother to plow, I'll just drive over it.
40 degrees forecast for Monday.

As my dad used to say: I'll just let the guy who brought it, take it away!

If it's getting higher than the blower I go out, it could still handle it no problem, but you have to lift the blower, move forward, back up lower move forward etc to do a real clean job, easier to go out at the fourteen - fifteen inches that way it's not going over the top.....

What is this big honda tracked machine you are referring to??
