If you don't like the plastic and all the electrical. Buy and older tractor and have it restored.
My Dad stopped recently where a guy had to tractors parked outside. Bother were well over 200 Hp. One was about 30 years old but 10 years ago had a total restoration jobs and still looked brand new. The other was new 8000 series Deere. Both would do the same amount of work, just the Deere had a little more comfort and was more fuel efficent. The old one they had about 60K in the new one they had over 200K.
Yet the Deere was waiting for a repair truck, the other was about to go out and do some work. All of the new tractors have a lot that can go wrong with them.
I also am no fan of EGR. There are better way to clean the exhaust but the EPA for 10 years was he!! bent that was the only way allowed.
Personally I would look for a 4050-4255, maybe even a 4450/55 series tractor and have the machine overhauled and gone through. Now if 4wd isn't important then I would include 4240 & 4440. The 40 series used a assist, it wasn't a real 4wd system. I liked it, but you could only use it as needed. If you left it on all the time in a field it didn't work well.
