Thanks for the info rScotty, that was helpful in that I understand a bit more now.
A year or so ago the control valve for the bucket tilt fell out of the bottom of the housing and pumped fluid all over the place. I pulled it apart and found that the area where the retaining clip goes was pretty rusted out and the clip wouldn't hold the valve in place any longer. I cut the groove a bit deeper and used a smaller clip and it's been ok but recently the bucket tilt is acting up so I want to replace the control before it breaks down again.
