I would strongly suspect the builder will make sure it is done right the second time, doubt he wants to go through another expensive nightmare.

My understanding is that the builder is going to use HDPE rolls this time. I have read mostly positive reviews about it and we actually have it in use out here in Iraq - its pretty tough stuff. By far the biggest advantage is the fact that we will only have 3 connections over our 1300 foot run. PVC is a good product, but all 50+ joints need to be perfect.
Heh. We had a bunch in our back yard when we moved in, relics of a well that had collapsed and they had pulled the pump. They just cut it off in sections as it came out.
My boys use it for staff fighting. It'll bruise ya good!
