When I get time I will take pictures of where the driveshaft was rubbing, the extra leafs and the guard area where the track hits. I will not be able to actually show the track hitting now because apparently the guys have resolved the issue. I will take a photo showing the tracks going up a bump or ramp to show the resolution of the issue though.

I would not disclose to Mattracks what was done unless they are willing to compensate your club in some way.

Hey guys

I am down at the folks while all this is going on but I got word that the guys took the 1100 out and everything woorked out great. I'll send out some pics in a few days.

I would not post them on here. You would be surprised at the number of companys' the surf these web site for ideas. Then say it is their design and get a patent and sell for big bucks.See if Mattracks wants to make a contribution to your grooming fund then post them.

I hear what you are saying. Our guys that worked on the unit would likely agree with you 100% as they spent a bunch of hours analyzing and sorting out everything I outlined previously. Personally I really only have an issue with the fact that Mattracks did the following

1) Showed us a picture of the 1100 with tracks on it and said that they had figured out how to work around the radiator housing.

2) Then sold us the track set without really analyzing the situation. This drive shaft interference is real and it is not too difficult to see what is causing it.

3) Basically guessing on lengths of components to resolve the problem and Ultimately never came up with a solution. Apparently our fix has no similarity to Mattracks torsion set-up.

I am sure of one thing. If they wish to continue selling tracks for this particular unit they will have to address the problems with their current system. Aside from the application design problems I think the tracks themselves are really sweet and hope they serve us well. I'll keep you updated!

Having to redsign the track set up has got to be worth something to the Grooming club. Diesel fuel is all most 4 bucks a gallon. When I bought my track I had to go thru a Kubota dealer because he was their dealer. I went and talked with him and I said hey I will be the first and only one in this area to have a set of them and it will only help your business. I want your best price and I will only ask once. He knocked 1K off the retail price. I took a few pics of it in deep snow and sent them to him.
Soucy has a test track at the manufacturing plant. The rep told me they also test the tanks & APC's there too. I had to wait for mine to be made because of some new up dates. I frimly beleive that nothing leaves their plant until it is tested and proven. Last year when I did not have the tracks I used 5-7 gals of fuel all winter. I have already used 10 gal this winter.

I have a set of Soucy tracks inbound for the 1100. They modified the rear tracks to prevent this. The rear tracks are shorter than thier units for the 900 I believe.

Pat; you are correct they are shorter. That is what the company rep told me they had to do because of the radiator.

TTowne66, Thanks for all the good info and the problems that you encounter with the RTV 1100 and the Mattracks that you put on it. I am sure that you will get some calls/emails as to what was done to remedy the problems.
