1100 RTV/Mattracks BEWARE!

I have the same set up as you and I pull a groomer with mine. I have noticed the track does rub on the skid plate when the track is forced into a certain attitude but this has happened only a few times and not when I am grooming. The snowmobile trails I groom are relatively flat with some hills. I used a RTV 900 last winter that cannot even compare to the 1100 as far as power, cooling, and quietness in the cab. I checked the drive shaft in mine and see no signs of it rubbing anywhere. I could not be happier with my 1100 on Mattracks. I sent you a PM so maybe we could talk off line and I could tell you what setup I am grooming with and what I did to get a little more power out of it.

I also have the same setup. My mattracks were on a 900 before my 1100 so I had to get longer mounts that are ment for the 1100 from them and installed them a few days ago. The track still does rub on occasion.. Not good! I hope mattracks comes out with a solution. Haven't looked to see if it's causing my driveshaft any issues. Il check it out tmrw. You mentioned more power? Where you able to increase your speed with the mattracks on? I lost about 5 mph from stock wheels. No biggie. I ordered a turbo so hopefully that well help some as well. I'm also extremely happy with my machine. It's great for what I do. Looking forward to the snow this year. Cheers

Seem to be doing ok so far. What are you referring to when you say battle with them? Haven't had them in snow yet but for work, trail and mud they do great minus the rubbing on extreme angles.

your tracks are going to wear from the inside, they will only last about 100hrs and start tearing, the nut on the main bearing comes loose and destroyes everything inside, the wheels start to loosen up and fall off. the list goes on

I took it for a pretty hard trail ride the other day.. Tons of mud and crazy hill climbs. On my way home I kept hearing something clunking around driver side front. Haven't had time to pin point it yet but I agree with you.. Seems like whenever I customize.. Add on etc I run into issues. Can't stop though. Lol. Trying to talk my self outta 2 inch lift and 27s for the summer months.
