110tlb new vs. used or 4120?

i appreciate that information. has anyone mowed with a 110 on here? Do you guys like the hydro on this machine? The transmissions have been a bit confusing to me. This is an ehydro on this machine right?

One big point to keep you away from the dealer is the skid plates for underneath. When I first looked at them as a technician I loved them as they are clean looking in the way they were run. For damage control they are a night mare in rough ground conditions. They should have made it standard equipment.

I don't think the 110 TLB is suitable for mowing.

It is designed as an earthmover. Way overkill for mowing, and most mowers are too light for the 3 point hitch. Plus you would have to remove the backhoe.

mowing is a chore i deffinately want to accomplish. should i be going another route then? i was thinking that i could do the same things with the 110 as a 4x20series. lost

main tasks i want to accomplish. in order of importance.
FEL work
snowremoval
driveway maintenace
mowing
back hoe work (moving rocks and stumps mostly)
tilling

maybe this will help to point me in the right direction. need to use th FEL ALOT that is the main reason for purchase. the hoe is a secondary requirement. I have construction company and i know i will find a lot more uses for it when i get it. thought the 110 tlb was the way to go but if i cant mow ill just have to go with the smaller hoe on a 4x20 series i guess.

Hey guys I have been reading these forums all weekend. When I got on here friday I didnt know ANYTHING about tractors. I had probably around 300 hrs of seat time on (what i now know to be a 4120) back around 03 but none since. I went to the local dealer not a ton of help i just didnt know what to ask. So now i have limited it down to either a 4120 or a 110 tlb. I obviously want the TLB. i have a job coming up in which i put $38,000 in the bid to buy a skid steer or utility tractor. I dont want to borrow any money for this so i dont really want to buy the brand new tlb i drive by at the dealers every day ($48,000) I can get what i want used though. The hard part is im not sure what can be added in the field to the TLB. Top n tilt, front rear aux. hydraulics etc. CAN ANYONE HELP? I have to have this tractor in 4-5 weeks min.

the other thing is for this job it will be used mainly for FEL work. after this i have about 300 acres of ground to play on. I dont plan on using the back hoe a ton is there a major benefit to the 110 tlb hoe vs. the 448 on the 4120

I belive I saw one in Ky with hydraulics for the thumb on the backhoe for $35,999 new

As for mowing with a 110, you'll be ok if you mean brush hogging. As for finish mowing it's a little too heavy. As Curley dave said it's an earth moving machine and that what it's design is geared towards.

If you're looking for differences here are a couple that may not have been mentioned. May or may not be important for your intended use. If I'm wrong on this 110 owners please correct.

110 does not have mid PTO option
110 FEL is not removable
110 appears to have superior hydraulics
110 PTO power slightly less
110 has no cab option
