I dont think what you want is possible with any brand tiller unless you plow first.

Dany is right. Any of these tillers will till in the first pass. I can sit still and go as deep as I want and just have a mess with clumps and uneven soil. Which will require extra time for you or the customer to deal with.

I find it actually quicker to make two or three passes at an even speed and by the second or third pass the soil looks almost like powder and the ground is level.

With that large of a tractor and a 6' tiller time should not be an issue.

dj,

No offence taken by any means. If you have never operated a tiller it is just like any kind of soil engagement equipment. It takes a few passes to get the kind of results needed to plant. I don't know of any implement that will deliver the kind of results needed in just one pass, I'd sure like to see it if there is one. The KK is designed to till 6-8" deep. If the garden is plowed prior to tilling then you can achieve the desired results in one pass....I usually do two because I belive in giving people a little extra for their money and the ground is...well beautifully tilled.

If you ever watched a farmer unless they're doing no till they work the ground a few times before planting.....were talking acres now!
