12 volt diesel pump

Just a heads up on what i think is a good 12 volt pump for a good price. Ater years of using a hand pump on a 55 gal drum i finaly decided to get a 110 v electric or 12 volt pump due to my advance age, i found this 12 v pump on Ebay and decided to take a chance and wanted to let those that are interested that i was impressed with the quality and feature of this cheap pump, it came with everything except the battery clamps , about 10 of elec cord nozzle and hose and Pump has a cutoff switch and a place to hang up nozzle.
This is the seller i bought from although they are cheaper sellers i liked his rating.

I've been using this setup I bought for $67 since April 2017 with no problems. I made a pickup tube for my 55 gallon drum with PVC components.

I considered one of those its a nice set up I have a 55 gal drum setting on a 3 ft hi bench (built 30 yrs ago so i could unload a full drum off of the back of 2 wd PU) setting betwene the 2 diesel tractor stalls, easy to reach either tractor.

I have two 55 gallon drums sitting on patio blocks under a shed. I also have a diesel generator right in front of the drums. One of my tractors fits under the shed right by the generator and I can pull my backhoe up just outside to reach it with the hose. I have my fuel delivered. Costs about the same as on road pump price but I don't have to handle cans OR transport drums.

That pump looks just like a Filrite pump, except blue instead of red, but about half the price (maybe a Chinese copy). I have a 15GPM Filrite that I have been using for over 10 years with no problems but I keep it inside rather than out in the elements. Brother in law got one the same time as me but his was always outside (under a lean-to shed but exposed) and he had to replace his a couple years ago due to motor going bad. I hope yours is of at least as good quality as my Filrite has been.

Gary I doubt that it is as good quality as your US made as it is a Chinese made pump, it does seam to be a good quality as the Chinese are doing much better in mfg. If it lasted 10 yrs then thats all i am probaly going to need.

when people convert pumps for display, they throw out the actual pump inside, they don't want the stinky thing in there, and it would serve no purpose in a display pump anyway, so you could get the actual pump for free, 120V version.. you just have to get a hose and nozzle.. and put an electrical cord on the pump..
