I have a 1210 Ford tractor that will not go forward or backwards, what is going on with that? Have put in new clutch and checked linkage. Do I need to split it again further back? Any help would be appreciated.

Short version of the embarrassing story. Mine refused to move one day. I assumed the worst. Drug it into the garage and split it. Everything looked fine inside. Gave up and went for a shower. While in there I wondered why it would suddenly go from working fine to not moving. Then it hit me. After toweling off and slipping some clothes on I checked it out. Sure enough the HI / LO range lever was in the center position.
