15 and 20 series factory backhoe install

Only 1 wrench required...until the stop or the bolt head fails. Then, very difficult to loosen/tighten. Just one of several design/manufacturing defects that Branson/Ansung has refused to admit or remedy

I'm thinking you're torquing the heck out of it for some strange reason. Just snug it up is all it needs.

It may be old-fashioned, but it's not a defect, and it certainly wasn't hidden from sight when you bought the tractor.

Not over 鍍orquing? One dealer calls it poor design. Another dealer calls it faulty. Either way, as others have stated, it痴 frustrating when something doesn稚 perform as it should. Lesson learned.

In what way didn't it perform?

When I was shopping tractors w/ backhoes, I had demonstrations of the swap of BH to 3pt, and it was obvious that you had to deal with the bolts. That factored into my decision making, but I knew that it wasn't something I'd swap every day, so it was a minor thing. The bolts are large, the welded stop blocking the bolt head substantial, and you just snug the nut, so it's not like it has to hold 500 lbs-ft of torque - what level of performance are you expecting from a bolt that the 3pt link and BH hang from?

In what way did it perform, or fail to perform? Did it bust off? If it had, you probably wouldn't be complaining about the bolt but the metal it goes through instead.

So far, I'm seeing complaints, but you sound like my cat that's complaining about a full bowl of food at this point - what in particular is wrong?

What position should
Back hoe and riggers be in to check
Fluid level?

Doesn't matter much. The amount of oil in the cylinder only changes by the volume of the rod. But having the cylinders extended would hold the most oil in the cylinders and thus result in the lowest level in the transmission.

You got it. I am talking about a sub frame mounted Ansung BH86A bh mounting on a Branson 4720H. You have to pull all the pins and the 2 bolts on the 3 point. Then, the bolts are reinstalled to attach the bh, plus an additional set of forward pins. Could be better designed. But, that痴 the least of my probs with Branson and Ansung. Going back to Orange tractors.

Sounds like a good idea for you....good luck.
