No Tim, its just a local guy that did work for him on a small tank. I could of dug that little tank in a day with my Case (If it would run that long.) In my opinion the owner is a bit too open to suggestion by whoever happens to be in front of him at the time. The operator told him that he's seen mulching before and it was really messy. In other words...I have a dozer so its the best method. The clearing is so selective and the ground so rocky that I can't imagine it not being a huge mess with a dozer.

If you want the job, show him these pictures.
Tell him that with a mulcher, and the right operator, his property could look similar to this.
Then tell him to ask his dozer guy for pictures of his finished product. :drink:

You would have been the first to know if I had gotten the job. BTW - Appreciate your hard work on attachment selection.

He went with the dozer guy. I can only imagine the mess out there trying to perform selective tree removal in rocky ground. Oh well...I tried to help him make an informed decision. You can't help the helpless!

Yeah I knew he went with the dozer guy, I was wondering how it turned out?

We may never know. I got that feeling from the owner that if it's real torn up he may be too embarrassed to call. I may get in touch with him to find out...or not. Even tough it would be an interesting project, my workload locally is pretty good.

Ah, I thought it may have been local. I commonly drive by my missed bids to see how (or if) the work is progressing.

I do too, but the job is an hour and a half away and can't be viewed unless you're actually on the property anyway. If it were closer I'd be all over getting the cleanup work.

I say mulch it being it is dry it should grind up easy and the ground up wood will act as ground cover.
