You may want to go down on the scale even further.

I have an YM1100D that can get down to as narrow as 31 inches wide with the wheels set at their narrowest track. It would easily handle your tilling requirement.

I use it to do row crop work between Christnas trees; bushhogging, spreading fertilizer. etc. It is the only tractor I have found that will work given these constraints.

The 1300 and 1400 series can get to 36 inches as well.

Market demand determines market supply. We're not going to stock a model that we get one request for every 5 years. Have you asked any of the reputable dealers to get a smaller model for you? We can get you a 1300 within a couple weeks.

No sir, I did not really pursue a smaller model since those do seem to be low demand items. I looked at the specs and really the 1300s are only about an inch narrower so the effort to try to work a special order deal seems like more trouble than it is worth.

On another note, I did find a local tractor repair shop that regularly works on Yanmar engines and are happy to help with issues I can't deal with myself. I am wondering however if there are any US models or JD models that are comparable to the 1510D.

For the crop middles have you checked on a tow behind self powered tiller that you can pull behind a lawn type tractor. Then go for the larger one. I remember some of the Bolens, satoh, other machines built in the late 70's or eairly 80's that are narrow as you want. Most users want a little larger tractor with a wider stance for safety reasons. Tell some dealers what you want to do and the restrictions you have and let them try to fill your request. They get the money they should do the work.
